FERRETTI GROUP YACHTS DISPLAYED AT “BOOT 2008”
FERRETTI YACHTS
Ferretti 550
The Ferretti 550 was successfully welcomed on the international market thanks to its special features: for the first time in a boat of such dimension (57 feet, 17,37 metres) three cabins and three heads offer the owner and the guests the highest level of comfort.
This revolution of the spaces – result of the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International and the AYT (Engineering Division of Ferretti Group) is allowed by the external windows that provide natural light to the cabins and the interior design, now more spacious and with highly luxurious finishes. Furniture is made of varnished opaque light oak open-pore, while galley floors and the heads are fitted with wengé wood.
The saloon has been totally redesigned. A U-shaped sofa dominates the space, and there is a dining-table to the right, while on the left there is a sofa. A few steps lead down to the L-shaped galley, with two sinks and marble worktops. The wheelhouse has a new design allowing all of the instruments to be located on a single panel, to ensure a better control when piloting the craft. The dinette is located next to the controls along with a small table and a large sofa.
Below decks, Ferretti 550 features a unique and distinctive layout, characterised by the extraordinarily large windows flooding the interiors with light. The master cabin has a spacious double wardrobe and head. The two guest cabins have twin beds, each served by its own head. In order to optimise the use of space on board the Ferretti 550 by means of functional solutions, the head belonging to the cabin on the port side has been designed to double its use from the day area, thanks to a double entrance allowing the access both from the cabin and from the corridor.
The large spoiler provides room for storing a 3.2 m tender or a jet ski. Thanks to the new tank, the Ferretti 550 has 11 hours autonomy at a cruising speed of 30 knots. The maximum speed, provided by two 900 HP Man engines, is 33,5 knots.
Ferretti 630
Ferretti 630 was yet another challenge for the great design skills and consolidated experience of Studio Zuccon International Project and the Ferretti Group’s Engineering Division, who managed to design a yacht of unrivalled space and light.
The exterior profile of Ferretti 630 is both slender and aggressive, thanks to the innovatively-designed, uninterrupted spherical glazing, stretching from stern to bow. From inside, the result is a 360-degree view of the sea, enhancing the impression of depth. The addition of huge open-view windows to the master cabin is an additional feature in the management of the light, endowing Ferretti 630 with a solution typically encountered on larger vessels.
A spacious, American-style galley is set at the entrance to the salon, which can be closed off completely by a transparent sliding door and pivoted window. Once opened, however, the window removes all barriers between indoors and out.
Below deck, the mezzanine floor houses the VIP cabin featuring a bathroom with separate shower. The twin-bedded guest cabin on the starboard side shares a bathroom with the day area. A stairway descends to the large, full beam master cabin, where the light and view of the sea can be enjoyed both from the bed and chaise-longue set to the right, and the spacious bathroom area.
PERSHING
Pershing 72’ (preview for the German market)
Pershing 72’ is pure innovation, in which the painstaking attention paid to design, a high level of technology and a revolutionary interior layout have completely changed the concept of life at sea.
With a radically new hull profile, fruit of the endless creativeness of yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, and continuous consultation with founder and Chairman of Pershing Tilli Antonelli and AYT - Ferretti Group’s Engineering Division, Pershing 72’ presents herself as a forerunner from every point of view.
Advanced technology is paramount on this new model, starting with the exclusive glass partition between cockpit and upper salon which slides away completely, making it possible to transform the interior and exterior into a single area.
The new hard top is like a sunroof, making it possible to completely open or close the cockpit. The revolutionary gangway was created with Besenzoni.
The night area, split into three cabins and three bathrooms, stands out for the sophisticated comfort of the full beam master cabin, which is amazingly bright and sunny thanks to two special open-view windows offering spectacular sea views.
The furnishings and finishes, the seating and leather ceiling panels were all designed in partnership with prestigious company Poltrona Frau.
With twin 1823 hp MTU Common Rail engines combined with an Arneson drive, this model can reach speeds of up to 45 knots, while maintaining a trim guaranteeing perfect comfort, fully-satisfying the sporting spirit of the Pershing brand.
Pershing 56’
Top levels of performance, a rich, multifaceted character and luxurious comfort. Totally in keeping with Pershing’s unique style, the result of painstaking attention paid to the design of the yacht’s internal and external areas is a remarkable layout and optimum use of space for a craft of this size. Featuring three cabins and three bathrooms, a comfortably-sized dinette, fully-equipped galley, crew cabin and carefully studied spaces, Pershing 56’ guarantees the finest on-board living comfort. Her 3-level structure and high ceilings mean this craft features exceptional solutions, such as the original way in which the galley is elegantly separated from the living area by a translucent aluminium and crystal partition, and the refined master cabin which makes expert use of space, even the corners of the room.
With the distinct personality of her design, dominated by the brilliance of her white and silver colouring, Pershing 56’’s harmonious profile is made more aggressive by her side band and black inserts. A powerful character, confirmed by excellent levels of performance, enable this yacht to cruise comfortably at over 48 knots, even when fully laden, thanks to twin MAN 1360 hp “Common Rail” engines coupled with Arneson (ASD 12L) drives.
ITAMA
Itama Forty
Itama has, rightly, focussed on this fibreglass yacht since she was launched, and to date the vessel has achieved a range of significant sales objectives. Developed from the unforgettable 38’, Itama Forty is the first open yacht in an innovative new line, featuring a contemporary, yet timeless, design and distinctive Itama style.
Itama Forty is a day cruiser able to accommodate up to 8 guests. The sleek, streamlined line of this craft is uniquely and aggressively Itama, with her distinctive 22° deep “V” hull which guarantees unrivalled seaworthiness. Itama Forty can reach a top speed of 35 knots, and is driven by twin 450 hp MAN engines offering an excellent performance, making this open both powerful and reliable thanks to her perfect cruising trim.
The layout below deck features a refined, essential design, combined with large, modular spaces. This model, characterised by the master cabin set at bow, a bathroom and a large dinette with concealed galley, is available in two versions, with either one or two cabins.
The result is a highly-appealing, fast cruiser, which harmoniously combines top performance, reliability, seaworthiness and sophisticated comfort.
Itama FiftyFive
Launched in 2006, Itama FiftyFive is a completely new motoryacht and leader of the Itama fleet. She combines a top performance with a layout featuring unimaginable space, both indoors and out. This motoryacht is markedly contemporary, and clearly features all the aspects of evolution and development in terms of the technology used, the modern project, and attention paid to the very latest style trends, whilst maintaining a marked Itama style.
Itama FiftyFive can accommodate up to 12 guests. This open features twin 1360 hp MAN Common Rail engines in V-drive, reaching an estimated top speed of 41 knots and cruising speed of 37, an outstanding performance guaranteed by the shape of the yacht, strongly marked by the now famous, pronounced V shape. The FiftyFive has a new, more dynamic structure, with a higher bow and sleeker stern than before. The new design of the deck, thanks to the greater curve of the profile, enhances the sportiness of a yacht whose performance at sea is one of her strongest features.
The layout of FiftyFive features 3 cabins – a master, a VIP and a twin-bedded cabin – and 3 en-suite bathrooms, a large dinette complete with a modern, functional galley, a seaman’s cabin with its own bathroom astern, and independent access from the cockpit.
The finishes of the interior are both sought-after and valuable, such as the zebrano essence, ostrich leather and the alcantara which make this model precious, elegant and extremely comfortable.
RIVA
SportRiva 56’ (preview for the German market)
SportRiva 56’, a yacht with a "sporty glamour" philosophy featuring Riva’s inimitable style, guaranteed by Mauro Micheli and the designers at Officina Italiana Design.
This yacht is the first in a new line called SportRiva, whose models will be defined by their length. Studied to satisfy the demands of owners who, while not wishing to renounce to the lines of an Open, prefer the convenience of a closed, air-conditioned upper salon, SportRiva is ideal for sailing in countries with a tropical clime.
The extended, aggressive bow gives her a strongly dynamic appearance, whilst a number of highly innovative solutions for the interior and exterior layouts, such as the large living area on the upper deck and elegant central ladder enabling easy access to the fly-bridge make this yacht a true jewel of modern design.
SportRiva 56’ features top of the range, hand-made finishes, sophisticated quality materials, careful research to ensure total liveability in the various areas, and a new exclusive "Roman Bronze" colour specially studied and produced for her.
Fitted with twin 900 hp MAN engines, SportRiva 56' guarantees, as always, an exceptional performance, reaching a top speed of 34 knots and a cruising speed of 30, with a 270 mile range at cruising speed.
Aquariva
More than any other model, this yacht testifies Riva’s natural style evolution over the years. The soft, elegant lines of this 33 footer reflect a taste for tradition, the valuable, beautifully carved wooden decks (mahogany inlaid with maple) and leather trimmings of the dashboard and helm highlight the pleasure of sailing in a timeless classic, offering unique, incomparable emotions and comfort. The innovative, electronically-controlled, two speed gearbox reveals all the gritty passion of the two powerful 370 horsepower Yanmar motors, featuring an exceptional performance.
Symbol of Riva’s modern elegance and style, Aquariva has confirmed her success on all continents, just as the legendary Aquarama - now a cult yacht for collectors all over the world - did a few decades ago.
Aquariva has not just inherited her distinguishing style and elegance from her predecessor, but also the continuous success she enjoys, season after season. Indeed, in October 2006 model no.100 was launched, an event celebrated by the creation of a special, limited edition of the model, called Aquariva Cento.
Riva 63’ Vertigo
Elegance, harmony, style. These three nouns best describe the new 63’ Vertigo, the latest Riva open designed by Mauro Micheli and Officina Italiana Design, which entered production this year. The yacht’s unmistakable style is true to all the shipyard’s products, yet still highly innovative and considerably different to its predecessors. Exquisitely elegant and beautifully designed, 63’ Vertigo features aristocratic lines which only just manage to conceal its spirited character.
Designed to optimise the space available and guarantee total comfort, this new open features a number of highly innovative solutions, beginning with the comfortable sofa running on two tracks towards the table to its left, transforming the cockpit into an elegant outdoor salon. The central command position features last generation navigation instruments and the command seat – an example of the latest technology recalling the Rivarama seat – can transform from one to three positions in just a few seconds.
The interiors have also been designed to guarantee maximum space and comfort.
This new Riva cadet, set between the 52’ Rivale and 68’ Ego, is the largest craft currently being produced in the Sarnico shipyard. She has two MAN 12 valve engines producing1360 Mhp, guaranteeing - as ever – an excellent performance – speeds of up to 38.5 knots and a range of 250 nm at cruising speed.
APREAMARE
Apreamare Maestro 51’ (preview for the German market)
Just under a year after the successful debut of the Maestro line, inaugurated with Maestro 65’, Apreamare presents Maestro 51’ launch, the leader of the range.
Maestro 51’ shares some distinctive features with the 65 foot model like, for example, technical innovations and a highly original design. The result is a yacht with harmonious lines, where a direct relationship with the sea appears to be the designer’s main aim.
The yacht was created from the working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project and architect Umberto Tagliavini, with support provided by Ferretti Group’s Engineering Department.
The incredible light on this model was achieved through huge, vertically-sliding windows, transforming the dinette into an out and out terrace on the sea.
The internal areas have been fitted out with the aim of optimising space as much as possible. The result is that Maestro 51’ has three comfortable cabins and two bathrooms with a separate shower cubicle.
It is, however, in the control panel area that the Maestro line, including this new yacht, marks the real difference which is also the basis for the name. The circular command seat features vast vertical windows which are much larger than those featured on other yachts of a similar size.
The performance of Maestro 51’ is also extremely interesting thanks to the special hull which characterises the entire line, permitting owners to enjoy the sea both at a displacement speed and at a cruising speed of 26-27 knots with twin 730 hp MAN engines.
MOCHI CRAFT
Mochi Craft Dolphin 54’ (preview for the German market)
Dolphin 54’, Mochi Craft’s new lobster boat - available in both sun top and fly-bridge versions - is ready to seduce lovers of the sea. Created through the working relationship between Norberto Ferretti, Ferretti Group’s Engineering Division and Studio Victory Design, the elegant, new Mochi Craft lobster boat retains the sophisticated vintage style embodied by the entire fleet, and the excellent sailing characteristics, cutting edge technology and high performance of previous models.
The design solutions include the rearrangement of on-board areas, endowing this 16 metre yacht with the liveability of a much larger model, whilst still retaining typical Dolphin features such as the sinuous lines, highlighted by the new creamy-yellow livery and extensive use of solid wood, beginning with the inviting teak flooring of the large cockpit.
The cockpit provides access to the sun top with a sliding canopy featuring a large sundeck, and the hydraulically-opening garage which houses a tender. The salon is furnished with a C-shaped, leather divan and extendable teak table. The latest innovation is the spacious, well-equipped galley which extends along the starboard side of the salon, providing access to a below deck storage area which can be transformed into a crew cabin with separate bathroom, on request.
Below deck, at the end of the corridor lies the master cabin, featuring two large windows, two wardrobes, large drawers set beneath the bed and numerous wall units. There are two guest cabins: a twin bedded cabin, and a third cabin which provides for a standard version with a double bed and extra single above it, or an optional version with large double bed and spacious wardrobe.
Comfort and stability are guaranteed by the variable geometry, deep V-shaped hull, and average deadrise angle of 19° with longitudinal steps. Dolphin 54’ is powered by two last generation 800 hp MAN Common Rail engines which drive the yacht to a cruising speed of 28 knots and a top speed of 32 (preliminary data).
Mochi Craft 44’ Dolphin
The strong personality of Dolphin 44’, leader of the Mochi range, is immediately apparent from the coral-coloured hull chosen for the first yacht – bringing to mind the colour of the lobsters caught by the New England workboats in the 1950s.
Once on-board, visitors will immediately discover the new interpretation of this 44 footer, a cockpit and dinette which are open, but can be closed off by a light-coloured, sliding canvas partition, so the salon can be air-conditioned. The large cockpit and dinette, furnished with comfortable corner sofas, welcome guests, as does the spacious sundeck at bow, which can accommodate up to four people comfortably.
Mochi Craft’s vocation to the sea is also apparent from the swimming platform which opens out at stern, extending the cockpit towards the surface of the water, creating a private swimming platform, ideal for relaxing or swimming in the sea. Plenty of space is also to be found below deck. The stairway leads directly down into the well-equipped, American-style galley with a large window opening out over the worktop, providing a view of the sea.
The decision to set the master cabin in the centre of the yacht, when in yachts of this size it is usually set at bow, made it possible to increase the space reserved for the owner, provide greater protection against bow movement and wave motion, and create considerably larger spaces, thus increasing on-board comfort.
For guests, Dolphin 44’ provides a cabin at bow featuring a king-sized bed and a single bed Guests can enjoy views of the sea from this cabin through the porthole set in the overlying sundeck.
