Ft. Lauderdale, FL. October 29th, 2009- TheFerretti Group, one of the world leaders in the design, building and marketing of luxury motor-yachts that is comprised of nine of the most exclusive and prestigious brands in the nautical industry (Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, Bertram, Riva, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, CRN and Custom Line),is reinforcing its presence in the North American market, by presenting an impressive exhibit of 15 unique, luxury vessels at this year’s Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show at Allied Marine’s large in-water display.
The striking showcase of Ferretti Group products will most notably consist of 15 yachts, including: Ferretti Yachts, Mochi Craft, Bertram, Pershing, Riva as well as CRN. Among these prestigious brands on display are five exclusive U.S. debuts proving that the Ferretti Group is moving full force with product innovations and new launches across the globe: Mochi Craft Long Range 23, Bertram 511 (a world debut), Ferretti 510, Ferretti 830 Hard Top and CRN “Maraya”.
One of the most revolutionary yachts that the Ferretti Group is introducing to the U.S. is the new Mochi Craft Long Range 23, the first “Zero Emission Mode” motor yachtof this category. Measuring 75’ 6”, the Long Range 23 is conceived for extended voyage lovers and is designed for cruising in maximum comfort and total safety, backed by exceptional environmental awareness. A first of its kind to be launched in the U.S., Long Range 23 combines two revolutionary technologies, the “Zero Emission Mode” hybrid propulsion system and the FER.WEY (Ferretti Wave Efficient Yacht) trans-planing hull, in a craft that offers an extraordinary design concept and layout solutions. It is the only boat in the world to obtain the most rigorous certification standard that can be applied to a pleasure craft: RINA “Green Star Clean Energy and Clean Propulsion” certification.
A world debut, which will likely awe Bertram enthusiasts with new, cutting edge look and peak performance features, is the new Bertram 511. Featuring large, forward wrap around window as well as robust hull-side windows that offer stunning views of the surrounding waters create a pleasurable sport-fishing experience. Bertram boldly re-introduces the forward window design into its newest vessels due to the latest advances in technology that are applied during the construction processes. Tried and tested to endure the roughest sea conditions, these windows are proven to be a rock solid option. The 511’s design embodies all of the classic qualities of the legendary sport fishing yacht, but has an aggressive, modern essence to its original sport-fishing exterior styling.
A new Ferretti 510 and Ferretti 830 Hard Top will make their American debut, each of which feature elegant amenities, striking profiles and incredibly spacious interiors. Measuring 52’ 7”, the Ferretti 510 is designed to maximize all interior space featuring a full beam master cabin with chaise lounge, two large open view windows as well as ample galley space with full cocktail bar and dining table. The Ferretti 830 Hard Top version applies the same principles of design, providing ample space on board the 83 ft. vessel and does not compromise performance for its sizeable hull, cruising up to 29 knots and reaching a top speed of 32,5 knots. These sleek Ferretti yachts are sure to make an impact for the American yachting industry with a beautiful balance between seductive lines and functional features for two distinct, equally passionate boaters who seek nothing short of quality and excellence in their respective yachting segments.
Modern luxury design with minimal chic style, is the philosophy of CRN “Maraya”, the first CRN mega-yacht in steel and aluminum introduced to the American market. Certainly the largest of the Ferretti Group fleet on display, this grandiose vessel, hull #121 of the Ancona based shipyard, measures just over 177 ft. and is designed as a fully customized project with a five-deck exterior layout. The light-hued colours and crisp design lines are part of a whole new approach created in painstaking fashion by the interior designers of the Claude Missir Agency, at the express bidding of the owner. Interplays of lights and mirrors set apart the interior design, in addition to giving the mega-yacht its name: “Maraya”, which actually means “mirror” in Arabic, while Studio Zuccon International Project handled the external layout. Light is truly the distinctive feature of this boat, serving not only as a prestigious decorative tool, but becoming a key element of the architecture itself and a source of charm and seduction. “Maraya” is the first CRN mega-yacht to be built with a lighting system based exclusively on fibre optics and LED technology. Another eye-catching feature of this ship is the balcony of the owner’s suite, which is built like a full-fledged platform hovering over the water, thanks to the use of a hatch able to fold down 90 degrees and be outfitted as a “balcony”, with a table and chairs for taking breakfast. “Maraya” is fully equipped with Twin Caterpillar 3512B engines, which allow the vessel to cruise comfortably and reach a top speed of 15 knots.
In an effort to further improve its presence in the North American market one year ago, the Ferretti Group made a bold and strategic move, which has proven to be very effective thus far, appointing Allied Marine as the exclusive sales provider of Ferretti Group products in the U.S. Since Ferretti Group successfully acquired Allied Marine, Allied has been advancing to become one of the leading sales distributors of luxury products in the U.S.
With this move, Ferretti Group is undoubtedly on the right path towards expanding into key markets and enhancing its presence worldwide with its purchase of Allied Marine. In addition to premium brokerage services, which Allied Marine still provides, the organization is undergoing several new initiatives in order to expand its customer base in the U.S. It is also facilitating service assistance to Ferretti Group customers and has created a 24-hour mobile service team that directs all service-related issues to customers anywhere, anytime. Furthermore, Allied‘s Grand Showroom, located in the heart of downtown Ft. Lauderdale, is undergoing several changes to be more reflective of the quality of the Ferretti Group brands and become the hub of North America’s luxury yachting market.
With the unwavering support of Ferretti Group behind them as well housing an impressive collection of luxury vessels, Allied is flourishing in this competitive yachting market. Recently, Allied positioned itself in the Northeast by opening a seasonal office in Sag Harbor, New York, where passionate boaters flock during the summer months. Continuing to seek out other key markets and keen opportunities, Allied is motivated to best accommodate boaters across the U.S. and better familiarize them with the quality, attributes and excellence of each of the Ferretti Group brands.
With its steadfast commitment to the U.S. yachting market, the Ferretti Group has made significant strides to drive Allied Marine to be a true sales force within the nautical industry and continue on the path towards becoming the leading sales and marketing distribution point of this prestigious brand portfolio.
