Ferretti S.p.A. announces the acquisition of Allied Richard Bertram Marine Group

Forli, Italy and Fort Lauderdale, Florida U.S.A., September 12, 2008 – Ferretti S.p.A., parent company of the Ferretti group, a world leader in the design, construction and sale of luxury yachts, is proud to communicate the closing of the acquisition of the assets, brands and ongoing operations of Allied Richard Bertram Marine Group, one of the largest yacht distributors and service providers in the United States, following the announcement that was made on August 8th2008. This move, valued around 50 million USD, will give Ferretti a powerful distribution platform to reach and service its customers throughout the U.S., a strategically important market for the company.
The newly named Allied Marine Group will continue to specialize in the post sales, services and the marketing of both new and previously owned yachts, as well as providing brokerage services. For more than 50 years, Allied Richard Bertram Marine Group has remained a leader in the U.S. marine industry by emphasizing the importance of superior customer service with a personalized approach. Headquartered in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, the group’s yacht service and distribution centers span the state of Florida from St. Augustine to the Florida Keys, servicing clients in many prestigious yachting and resort communities.

The new combined organization comes into effect immediately and the relationship with Allied and their current customers will not change.

Allied Marine Group and Ferretti S.p.A. will be in tandem at the Ft Lauderdale International Boat Show in October of 2008, with their full launch expected to be unveiled at the Miami International Yacht & Brokerage Show in 2009.
