A new Custom Line 106’, the M/Y “Y”, hits the water at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona
Ancona, March 02nd, 2022 – Just two months into the year, this is the third superyacht launched by Custom Line at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona last February. At 32.82 metres in length overall, Custom Line 106’ M/Y “Y” stands out for her sleek, dynamic silhouette and the brilliant hydrodynamic performance that is a signature feature of the brand’s planing line.
What makes the new superyacht “Y” unique is the original combination of sophisticated materials in the interior decor, where the dominant chocolate brown striped zebrawood is reprised with the same designs in the vertical marble surfaces. The natural chiaroscuro produced by the brown veining in the wood also creates a sophisticated contrast with the linen-coloured leather, the leitmotif on a superyacht that reflects the contemporary personality of her European owner.
The hull windows are generously sized, while the floor-to-ceiling glazing on deck offers direct contact with the water, further enhanced by the convex contours.
With 220 square metres of interconnected exteriors, Custom Line 106’ M/Y “Y” explores a more formal balance between interior and exterior, featuring sharp colour contrasts in the furnishings and upholstery.
Custom Line continues to forge ahead in this new year, creating seagoing masterpieces that stand out for the brand’s signature tailor-made approach. These unique superyachts, eagerly awaited by their owners, are ready to ride the waves on all five continents.
This work of marine art is the result of close collaboration between the Ferretti Group Engineering Department and the exterior and interior design expertise of Francesco Paskowski Design. The owner’s stylistic vision is interpreted by the Custom Line Atelier, which plays a strategic role in translating the brand’s timeless cruising concept into outstandingly sophisticated and distinctive interiors.
