Forlì, 9th September 2014 – Ferretti Group, world leader in the design, construction and sale of luxury motor yachts, shows its strength and soundness.
At the Cannes Yachting Festival, from 9th to 14th September 2014, the Group will present three cutting edge brand new models as a world preview, and a comprehensive fleet of 20 luxury yachts representing all the brands.
“Three world previews and twenty of our most prestigious models: this is the way in which Ferretti Group inaugurates the coming nautical year” declared Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group’s CEO. “Amazing yachts demonstrating, better than words, our focus on the product, the strength of the Group supported by its shareholders, and a brand-new attention to the market and the expectations of our most demanding clients, our 45.-year vocation to research, innovation, and development. Ferretti Group is proud to present to the international market three extraordinary new models, further enriching a unique fleet boasting the most beautiful crafts in the world”.
Ferretti Group’s DNA has always been perfectly matching technological innovation and design. Along the years, the constant improvement of the performance of its models has led to development of cutting-edge solutions. The tilting window separating the saloon from the cockpit, the underbody exhausts, the F-tdr (Ferretti trim and drag reduction), the air bag for anchor chains, the built-in glazing, the XFT technology (Cross Fibre Technology), the different monitoring, control, and rolling reduction systems for moored yachts, the Smart Command system including the Easy Dock and Auto Troll functions are just a few examples of the innovative solutions brought to the market by Ferretti Group’s yachts, the absolute forerunners and trend setters of the world boating industry.
The latest technical innovations are:
- the exclusive floodable garage, available both on Ferretti Yachts 960 and on CRN 125 60mt “J’ade” mega yacht, where it is completed by an extraordinary luxury beach club on the water surface;
- the Convertible Top, an exclusive patent by the Group, presented on the new project of Riva 88’ Florida, which can transform an open yacht into a coupé thanks to the handling of the hard top;
- the Dual Mode Transom, another Ferretti Group’s exclusive patent, which matches into one single system the floodable garage, the stern plunging platform and a wide beach area, available on the new Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 28 which will make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
The three world previews are Ferretti Yachts 650, Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 28, and Pershing 70.
FERRETTI YACHTS 650
The Ferretti Yacht 650 immediately strikes the eye for its truly distinctive profile. Its outer silhouette is characterised by an aerodynamic flybridge and new fibreglass decorative elements that “cut” through the profile of the glazing in the superstructure. An unprecedented decoration connects the windows of the three cabins below deck, providing the craft an even more captivating look.
Its slender lines are further enhanced by the yacht’s aft area, specifically designed to ensure easy and safe tender handling and increase the guests' onboard comfort. A lift, which can be lowered by a metre with respect to its original position, has been installed on the yacht to handle the tender without any davit.
As is the case on all models in the range, on this 65-footer too the Shipyard is proposing several different layouts both on the sundeck – which also comes in the hard-top version – and indoors. Ferretti has indeed designed a “TaiHe Ban by Ferretti” edition of the 650, targeted in particular at Far East owners.
This concept also includes a series of areas that have replaced others and are exclusively devoted to business meetings and social events. The Ferretti Yachts 650 is equipped with Caterpillar engines. The standard engine configuration - a pair of 1015 mhp C18 engines – allows the yacht to reach a cruising speed of 27 knots and a maximum speed of 30.5 knots. The optional engines (1150 mhp), in turn, can push the yacht to a cruising speed of 30 knots and a top speed of 33 knots.
FERRETTI CUSTOM LINE NAVETTA 28
This model immediately strikes for its absolutely innovative outer area and the panoramic dining area embraced by the circular glazed sliding door system, featuring the utmost flexibility of the upper deck. Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 28 is plenty of innovative solutions. The wide sun deck is a comfortable private deck, which can be fitted with a Jacuzzi and a shadow-maker. On the main deck a continuous glazing stretches from bow to stern, while four innovative, extraordinarily large, stanchion-free hull windows have been installed for the first time at the height of the four guest cabins. The aft area features a cutting-edge innovation. Dual Mode Transom (DMT), a patent by Ferretti Group, perfectly blends into one single system a floodable garage, a bathing platform, and a beach club of unparalleled dimensions on any other models of similar size. The standard audio/video equipment is truly impressive. This amazing system, called “VOTIS” (Videoworks One Touch Infotainment System) allows to control through an iPad the whole entertainment system installed in the main deck salon. Upon request, the control system can be extended to the other areas of the yacht. The yacht is fitted with two MAN V8 1,200 mhp engines that allow it to reach a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 13.5 knots. Electro-hydraulic stabilising fins with underway function and gyroscopic stabilisers come standard on this yacht.
PERSHING 70
Pershing 70 surprises and appeals to long-time and new brand enthusiasts alike for its futuristic and imposing shapes, its increasingly dynamic lines and innovative design solutions, further enhanced by two large side wings, providing a unique look to the yacht. The flagship of a new Pershing generation can catch the attention of those yacht owners who are looking for that inimitable style, a style that can be recognized anywhere in the world and is able to express elegance and speed, power and beauty, technology and safety. Pershing 70 the yacht is fitted with twin MTU 10V 2000 M94 engines (developing a power of 1623 mhp), combined with a Top System 85P surface drive system, allowing to achieve a maximum speed of 46 knots and a cruising speed of 40 knots.
