Ferretti Yachts 690: spanish debut at the 2014 “Salonnautico” in Barcelona

Barcelona, 15th October 2014 - Ferretti Yachts, icon of Made-in-Italy luxury yachts, will be in attendance at “Salonnautico” 2014 boat show in Barcelona, held at Port Vell, presenting its Spanish premier of Ferretti Yachts 690, one of the most prized models in the 60-70 foot range, and after starring at many nautical events in Europe, Asia Pacific, and the American continent, it's ready to take the stage for the first time in Catalonia.
The boat show in Barcelona, coming up this October 15th - 19th, has over the years made its mark as one of the most important showcases in the industry for the entire Mediterranean area, and this year the event reaches its 53rd edition.
Characterized by sporty and elegant lines, Ferretti Yachts 690 has a sleek, gritty outer profile combined with refined and functional interiors. In particular, the use of glazing both on the deck as well as the hull makes the yacht’s exterior look extremely light and ensures that a remarkable amount of natural light can brighten the interiors.
The model, another outstanding result of the cooperation between the Research and Development department at AYT&D - Advanced Yacht Technology & Design, the Group’s Centro Stile, and Studio Zuccon International Project, stands out thanks to the continuous glazing from stern to bow on the main deck. In the hull, the large open-view windows at the height of the master stateroom have now been joined by more glazing in the guest cabins and the forward VIP cabin. The sleek outer lines are further enhanced by the innovative flybridge, which features an elongated tail and ends in a small roll bar for recessed installation of the SAT domes: the base of the satellite antennas is thus hidden, minimising the domes’ aesthetic impact on the yacht’s profile.
Ferretti Yachts 690 - which measures nearly 21 meters in length and over 5 and half in width - offers two available drive options. The yacht can be equipped with two MTU 8V 2000 M84, 1102 mph engines in the standard version, or can be fitted, as an option, with two MTU 8V 2000 M94, 1268 mph engines. When equipped with the standard engines, this yacht will reach a maximum speed of 30 knots (with a range of 280 nautical miles) and a cruising speed of 27 knots (in this case the range increases to 300 nautical miles). When the optional, more powerful engines are installed, the maximum speed will be 33 knots (with a range of 250 nautical miles), and the cruising speed 30 knots (range - 280 nautical miles).
The “Salonnautico” show in Barcelona, which the Group attends through its own exclusive dealers for Spain, Ventura Yachts S.L. and Nautica Vermell C.B., offers an opportunity to present to the public two more iconic models: in addition to Ferretti Yachts 690, also on display for the event will be Ferretti Yachts 830 and, for the famous Itama brand, the celebrated Itama FiftyFive.
