Ferretti Yachts and Mochi Craft obtain ISO 9001 certification
Friday, June 1, 2007
The whole Ferretti Yachts and Mochi Craft production site in Forl was recently awarded ISO 9001 certification, issued by the Registro Italiano Navale (RINA), certifying the excellence of the shipyard management systems.
"We voluntarily applied for ISO 9001 certification, which is not currently compulsory for shipyards, in order to further improve our production capacity and repay the trust of our employees and our clients" - states Fulvio Dodich, CEO of Ferretti Yachts, Mochi Craft and Custom Line - "Thanks to this certification, we can offer the market, our partners and all those who hope to become our clients in the future, a further guarantee of our shipyard's excellent production standards."
ISO 9001 certification is a sought-after objective in the yachting market, but is still not very widespread. In fact, this certification is difficult to obtain due to the large number of production processes subjected to examination.
Achieving ISO 9001 means certifying the companys overall reliability, as well as its ability to develop products and services in keeping with specific standards agreed upon with a view to continuous quality improvement thanks to constant process controls.
Dodich concludes: "Piloting a Ferretti means steering a safe and reliable yacht, constructed with great care by experts in compliance with all legal requirements. Our ship owners have to be proud of their choice of yacht, and our employees have to be proud of what they build. When it comes down to it, this is the true meaning of the certification."
