Cannes, 13 September 2011 – Three-fold success for the Ferretti Group, a world leader in the design, construction, and sale of luxury motor yachts with a unique portfolio of some of the most prestigious and exclusive brands in the nautical world, which closed the 34th Festival International del la Plaisance by winning three prestigious World Yachts Trophies with its yachts Ferretti 720, Pershing 108’ and Ferretti Custom Line 100’.

In particular, Ferretti 720 won the Best Layout award in the category of Flying Bridge yachts below 24 metres; Pershing 108’ was awarded the Best Design prize among Sport Yachts above 24 metres; and Ferretti Custom Line 100’ was the winner of the Best Layout award in the ‘Flying Bridge yachts above 24 metres’ category.

Organised by the French network Luxmedia Group, the World Yachts Trophies are considered among the most prestigious awards in the boating sector, since yachts are selected and evaluated by a highly qualified jury of experts, composed of the network’s Board of Directors.

“I am extremely proud of these three awards, which we received just as we stepped into the new nautical year and which once more significantly confirm that the Ferretti Group’s commitment to research and development, aimed at building increasingly innovative yachts from all standpoints, is appreciated and acknowledged both by the international market and by sector experts and professionals”, was the comment ofNorberto Ferretti, Chairman and Founder of the Ferretti Group.

Ferretti 720, a 21.80 metre-long craft, is the result of the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project, AYT Advanced Yacht Technology (Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre), and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. This model draws inspiration from the innovative concept first introduced by the 800: achieving a balance between Ferretti Yacht’s classic-contemporary style and a modern taste for interiors, matched with a striking exterior design. Outside, this yacht is characterised by highly captivating lines, a roll bar with integrated bimini top and uninterrupted glazing running along the main deck; large windows in the forward VIP and guest cabins have been added to the open-view windows fitted in the hull and let in plenty of light, further enhancing the interiors’ airiness and spaciousness.

The Pershing 108’, boasting 32.90 metres in length, is the outcome of the long-standing cooperation between yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, Ferretti Group’s AYT, and Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. Featuring a highly versatile layout and innovative onboard technologies, this model is a real pioneer thanks to her three-engine configuration. The new Pershing 108’ is indeed powered by three MTU 16 v 2000 M94 L, 2638 mHp (1939 kW) diesel engines which, together with three surface propellers, allow her to reach a maximum speed of over 42 knots.

The 30.60 metre-long Ferretti Custom Line 100’ - also conceived thanks to the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project, AYT Advanced Yacht Technology (Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre) and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup - is targeted at those seeking a sportier design without however renouncing great functionality and even larger volumes. Some of this new Ferretti Custom Line model’s features include a continuous glazing extending from the stern of the main deck all the way to the raised helm station; large, triangular-shaped windows on both broadsides at the height of the master cabin; a foldable gunwale along the right broadside; and a wide-bodied master area - a unique configuration on a yacht in this segment.
