Ancona, 2nd May 2013 - Ferretti Custom Line, a brand of the Ferretti Group producing fibreglass maxi-yachts between 26 and 38 metres in length, delivered the twelfth hull of the semi-displacement line Navetta 33 Crescendo at its shipyard in Ancona in the second half of April. This new model marks yet another important step forward in the brand’s international development. “We are particularly satisfied with the completion and delivery to the Owner of this new Navetta 33 Crescendo - explains Karin Paggi, Ferretti Yachts’s and Ferretti Custom Line’s EMEA Sales Manager. In particular, we are delighted to have introduced this new unit to the Continental and Eastern European market, which has always widely appreciated Ferretti Yachts’s and Ferretti Custom Line’s flybridge yachts.”
Navetta 33 Crescendo is the result of the close cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project and the AYTD - Advanced Yacht Technology & Design, the Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre. Its classical outer lines harmoniously blend with the contemporary design of the interiors, which can be fully customised to the Owner’s taste. Indeed, just like on the entire Ferretti Custom Line range, every non-structural detail, such as furniture and furnishings, fabrics, and décor, can be modified to meet the requirements of the Owner who, supported by Gruppo Ferretti’s architects and designers, can choose from among the best Italian and international companies to create a truly “tailor-made” yacht. Plenty of natural light brightens the spacious interiorsfiltering through the large glazing which makes the yacht’s profile truly unmistakable and reflects this model’s strong personality: Navetta 33 Crescendo stands out in its segment for its 3 full decks perfectly integrated into the line of the yacht, for an innovative new feature - a large sundeck -, as well as for a series of design solutions aiming to let its guests really enjoy the emotion of direct contact with the sea. On the main deck, the large salon features a system of sliding glazed doors on the starboard broadside, with a collapsible gunwale which minimises any existing visual and physical barriers between the yacht and the sea. The full-beam Owner suite is located at bow, in a privileged position. Onboard guest-and-crew circulation routes have been skilfully separated by making the crew area directly accessible from the galley. The crew area is completely separated from the guest cabins located on the lower deck, which are all fitted with large open view windows that characterise the profile of the hull also from the outside. Also deserving mention are the extraordinary innovations found in the upper part of the yacht, from the dining area on the upper deck - which features an original system of circular sliding doors resulting in a very flexible layout and interior space division - to the restyled sundeck. MAIN DECK
From the large cockpit, furnished with two facing Flow sofas by Manutti and two telescopic coffee tables that can also be used as dining tables, access is gained to the salon on the main deck, characterised by central walls and furniture in American oak wood and Stile white/grey parquet floorings. The salon features a large conversation area, on the left, furnished with a custom-made sofa designed to the Owner’s taste and featuring a series of oak wood shelves integrated in the armrest and a Poltrona Frau Ninfea model coffee table in leather, oak wood and dark lacquered wood. To the right is an original bar corner, featuring a unit with a sliding wooden surface which hides a Corian sink. The TV screen standing on the unit is surrounded by a cream shade leather frame and can slide forward revealing a fully-equipped bar area. Further on, to starboard, are the sliding glazed doors leading to the broadside with collapsible gunwale. The glass partition is covered by an American style curtain. To the left, besides the conversation area, stands a large Riva 1920 oval table that can seat up to 8 people, with Maggy chairs by BPA International. Amidships, on the right, a stairway connects the upper and the lower decks, while on the left access can be gained to the galley with dinette, by Arclinea, which can also be reached through a door on the left broadside and from the crew area, at the extreme bow of the lower deck. The Owner area is located forward, a location ensuring the utmost privacy. This spacious area is brightened by plenty of natural light which filters through the wide side glazing and is characterised by the kaki shade of leather and of the headboard and the cream shade of the walls, with the storage compartment for the curtains. This area is divided into a working zone furnished with a writing desk with an Asterix model cream-shade leather armchair by Poltrona Frau and a large walk-in wardrobe located to starboard. A second working zone has been obtained along the left broadside, and features a small vanity set and a cream leather seat. The spacious bathroom is dominated by two types of marble which alternate in the shower walls, just like in all other heads on this Navetta, as well as by lacquered surfaces. The large custom-made shower box has been fitted, upon request by the Owner, with two shower heads and two benches, and features Grohe taps and Gedy accessories, both belonging to the Veris line. Another distinctive element shared by all heads on this Navetta are the Corian washbasins which differ from previous models for their curved lines – a small but significant detail that highlights Ferretti Custom Line’s will to offer the utmost onboard safety and comfort by paying attention to the very tiniest details. LOWER DECK
Going below deck via the stairway located amidships, guests can reach the lower deck lobby, featuring chamois shade leather floorings. From there, access is gained to the 3 guest cabins and the gym. The latter is located to port, towards the bow, and is equipped with Technogym equipment. A glass door separates it from the Turkish bath, where marble walls alternate with mosaic walls, ceilings and benches. Astern are the other two mirroring guest cabins, both furnished with a double bed, which, in the one on the left, as requested by the Owner, can be split into two twin beds. All three cabins enjoy a wonderful view on the sea thanks to large open-view windows and are fitted with ensuite bathroom with separate shower and a walk-in wardrobe. At the bow are the crew quarters, completely separated from the guest area. The laundry area can be found on the left and a hostess cabin on the right. Further on, there are two twin cabins with bunk beds and head. The Captain’s cabin, featuring a private head and shower, is located at the extreme bow in a slightly raised position. UPPER DECK
The superstructures of Navetta 33 Crescendo have been completely refurbished and unmistakably reflect the painstaking care devoted to onboard liveability and to achieving innovative design solutions, offering the Owners and their guests a new relationship with the sea, from a truly privileged position. The upper deck can be accessed from both the stairway found in the salon and the one in the main deck cockpit. It is divided into the helm station, the living and dining areas, and an open-air section. The spacious helm station is furnished with two pilot seats, a charting area, and a small sofa; a door separates it from the guest area. Upon request by the Owner, a micro-lift has been installed allowing to serve meals in this area by lifting the dishes directly from the galley. The pilot area has been completed with two outdoor steering stations on both sides, making manoeuvres even smoother. The living area is extremely bright thanks to the continuous glazing and is furnished with a custom-made sofa in American fabric, an Axis coffee table by Matteo Grassi in clay-shade leather, and a small Gaggenau cellar unit. The great innovation on this yacht, however, is the dining area, which features a system of 4 curved sliding doors from bow to stern making it possible to create different layouts in this area. Inside this original, circular, highly versatile lunch area – which can be connected to or separated from the living and outdoor areas or even connected to both to create one single, charming open space - there is a large round, custom-made table which can seat up to 8 people and can be extended depending on the number of guests. Featuring a teak top and a base lined in leather, this table has been matched with cream-shade leather Skip chairs by Bonaldo, some with armrests, some without.
From the dining room it is possible to reach the outdoor area, furnished with a Flow model sofa in fabric by Manutti and equipped with a steel and glass lobster tank for storing freshly caught fish. This area can also be customised with freestanding furnishings, depending on the Owner’s taste. Further astern there is room for the tender, complete with a davit. SUNDECK AND BOW
The sundeck, which can be reached by means of a stairway located on the left towards the stern on the upper deck, has been conceived to offer guests a “private” sunbathing area. A large circular Jacuzzi tub is located in the middle, while a bar unit, an icemaker, a fridge, and a grill have been fitted in a unit underneath the mast, just like the shower. A large sundeck is located forward, whilst astern the area used for sunbathing is furnished with 3 Ego Paris, Kube Collection sun loungers that can be converted into armchairs, fitted with white cushions and armrests that can also be used as practical tables. This area, which can be furnished according to the Owner’s tastes, can become another storage for water toys. There are other relaxation areas on the deckhouse, at the bow, where two sun pads allow to enjoy the sun in the utmost privacy. TECHNOLOGY AND PERFORMANCES
Navetta 33 Crescendo can be fitted either with twin MAN V12 Common Rail 1400Mhp at 2100rpm engines in the standard version or, upon request, with twin MAN V12 1550Mhp engines. Performances will be a top speed of 17 and 20 knots and a cruising speed between 15 and 16 knots, respectively, depending on the type of engines installed. The semi-planing hull allows not only to reach high top speeds, but also to enjoy long range cruises enjoying the utmost comfort, excellent seaworthiness, and optimised consumption values at transfer speeds between 10 and 13 knots. For example, at a speed of 10 knots the maximum range will be approximately 2,300 nautical miles.
Three Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilisers, which come standard on Ferretti Custom Line’s yachts, reduce rolling by over 50%. This yacht is also fitted with a fully independent dual navigation system with 3D functions and an optional Satellite Photofusion function. The “FORWARD LOOKING” sonar can also be found onboard this unit, a system that sounds the sea bottom in front of the bow and therefore allows to cruise safely even in less familiar waters, near coral reefs and in shallow water with surfacing rocks. This yacht also responds to the increasing demand for on-board infotainment, featuring Seamphony’s Audio-Video Media Server entertainment system, integrated with the OPEN SEA V-SAT broadband web connection module. The onboard CCTV system allows to get a view of the entire yacht, even under the propellers, thanks to two underwater cameras installed on the hull and to a FLIR thermal imaging camera during night cruising. Moreover, the yacht features innovative instrumentation which includes the new Furla.NET monitoring and control system through which users can monitor and manage utilities, services, and alarms simply and immediately using a touch screen. This solution makes it even easier for the crew to access on-board systems, increasing comfort and safety. The helm station also includes six large displays with glass finish and LED technology for all navigation, automation and CCTV systems
