Alessandro Martorana dresses Ferretti Yachts

A shared commitment to excellence and detail leads to a unique collaboration in the luxury yachting world

Two great "Made in Italy" names expressing the highest standards of craft skills meet to create an unusual union between the worlds of high-quality tailoring and luxury yachting. The ALESSANDRO MARTORANA studio has in fact made 150 men's and women's outfits, all tailor-made, to clothe top management and the whole FERRETTI YACHTS team in an unmistakeably refined, elegant style.

Craft production of the new FERRETTI YACHTS "bird's eye" blue uniform involves 100% hand tailored bespoke methods, or made to measure techniques using sophisticated machinery. Both employ fabrics that are entirely woven, never sized, with an internal structure composed of five different layers, reflecting the very best Italian tailoring traditions.

Individually cut out of high quality fabric selected from the most exclusive Vitale Barberis Canonico materials, the outfits feature sophisticated details typical of the most prestigious made to measure garments, like hand finished collars, lapels, hems, sleeves and pockets.

The shirts embody the same design and tailoring skills. Made of the best Italian Canclini blue striped poplin, they feature a wealth of prestigious details - mother of pearl buttons, double hand sewing and a large number of stitches per centimetre. The hems on both sides are finished with a satin insert with the "Alessandro Martorana" logo and a label with the name of the seamstress and the date of production.

Suits, shirts, vests, jackets and ties, also part of the female uniform, are labelled "Alessandro Martorana exclusive for Ferretti".

"We are honoured by the collaboration with Ferretti Yachts, the foremost Gruppo Ferretti brand. Like them, our company - says Roberto Zuccato, Sole Director of Alessandro Martorana - aims to serve an international luxury clientele that's seeing an increasing focus on high-quality service and top-class, unique products both in image and status.

The collaboration between the two brands emphasises the strong "made to measure" spirit that inspires the Ferretti philosophy, marked by a style that highlights the individual's uniqueness and personality. It's a new concept of luxury based on personalisation and high craft content for a cultured clientele able to appreciate intrinsic quality in products that reflect true excellence, made from finest raw materials and embodying the skills and patience that have gone into their creation.

"Ferretti yachts have always been remarkable for their creation of a perfect synthesis between elegance, innovation and quality", adds Fulvio Dodich, CEO of Ferretti Yachts, Mochi Craft and Ferretti Custom Line, "These are fundamental values we are proud to share with the Atelier Alessandro Martorana. Like Ferretti Yachts, they are acknowledged throughout the world as an icon of Made in Italy luxury".

As well as creating the uniforms for the Ferretti Yachts 'crew' - also worn by Mochi Craft and Ferretti Custom Line staff - Alessandro Martorana was also able, thanks to Ferrettigroup President Norberto Ferretti, to use the salon of the Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26, with the space fitted out as a workshop during the most important boat shows, from Cannes to Monaco, Genova and Miami.

FERRETTI YACHTS, an histori Ferretti Group brand, produces luxury fibreglass flying bridge yachts between 46 and 88 feet in length. The cutting edge stylistic solutions, precious woods like cherry, teak and oak, leather coverings, tilting windows and large open view windows with panoramic sea view place Ferretti Yachts in the highest rank of nautical luxury.

ALESSANDRO MARTORANA, REVERS Srl
Revers srl was founded less than two years ago. Its mission is to blend the finest Italian tailoring traditions with the fresh, cosmopolitan style of Alessandro Martorana, providing a response to the loss of direction that had been experienced by the world of classical tailoring. Today the company boasts over 500 clients, who are dealt with personally by Martorana and his collaborators throughout the world, from Los Angeles, New York and Toronto to Tokyo, Kazakhstan, Paris, London and Barcelona, not forgetting, of course, Milan and Rome! This illustrious group includes important entrepreneurs and businesspeople, Hollywood stars, sports celebrities, film directors and fashion photographers. Turin is the home of the Italian Atelier, located in a richly-frescoed late nineteenth-century building where clients can choose from an assortment of 200 high-quality fabric lengths and over 900 fabric samples. Production is handled by three craft workshops, where old-school tailoring skills are combined with modern work organisation methods.
The sole director is Roberto Zuccato, former commercial and marketing director of multinationals like Alfa Romeo and Bacardi-Martini, now an entrepreneur in the field of luxury tailoring.
