Miami, FL. February 13, 2012 – With an unprecedented twelve months of successful sales growth in North and Latin America markets, the Ferretti Group, a world leader in the design, construction, and sale of luxury motor yachts with a unique portfolio of the most prestigious and exclusive brands in the boating industry worldwide, continues to strengthen its presence in the Americas. Throughout the last twelve months, the Group has rebranded the American sales and distribution network under Ferretti Group America, strengthened its sales and customer service resources and capabilities in the region and further expanded the American distribution footprint.
The Ferretti Group’s significant commitment to the expansion of its North America operations is running at full speed with the development of a network of Ferretti Group Sales Centers in Florida, New England and California to represents the Group’s eight brands. This factory direct sales infrastructure is successfully being supported through complementary capabilities in the yacht brokerage and charter management by the Group’s Allied Marine business unit.
As the Ferretti Group North America operations expand so does its sale and distribution infrastructure in Latin America. The Ferretti Group is currently represented in six key Latin American markets including Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. Additionally, while the Group is focused on expanding its distribution infrastructure and developing new clients in these six key Latin America markets, the Ferretti Group has a keen interest and has made it a key priority to cultivate new relationships in other countries with a growing interest in luxury yachts such as Peru and Uruguay.
The Group’s North America organization is scheduled to launch five new boat debuts throughout the 2012 summer season including the Pershing 74, Pershing 82, Riva Iseo, Riva 63 Virtus and the Riva 75 Venere Super.The Group remains confident that the streamlined sales and distribution structure will make it possible to focus on directly serving its clients and strengthening the connections between its factories, brand management teams and sales organizations. Moreover, the Group’s strong base of centralized inventory located at the Fort Lauderdale Flagship showroom will help to support the growth of the group in both North America and Latin America.
The Ferretti Group will have one of the largest in-water displays at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage show including an impressive lineup of 15 of the Group’s newest models and the debut of the Bertram 51. The Ferretti Group display will be located at Ramp on 22-24 on Collins Avenue directly across from Miami Beach’s historic Fontainebleau hotel.
NEW MODEL DEBUT
BERTRAM 51
The New Bertram 51’ was developed by Bertram engineers, Studio Zuccon, and affiliated dealers to bring the toughest of anglers a hardcore fishing machine that outperforms other. The New Bertram 51 has a breathtaking sheer-line with side windows that have been extended forward making the boat look sleeker. The New 51 comes fully loaded with amenities including generous storage integrated into the new widened mezzanine deck; ample seating allows every angler to relax while trolling the seas; large fish box with removable tub in the cockpit sole that can be used to store the days catch along with a second fishbox that is located in the transom; plenty of tackle storage space; and144 square feet of usable cockpit space that is packed with every feature needed to catch fish or cruise. The interior of the Bertram 51 showcases a larger salon design including rich teak joinery selections, Corian-topped finishing in the galley, and beautiful upholstery appointments. Accommodations include three well-appointed staterooms and two en-suite heads with the later featuring hull-side windows that have been incorporated to provide a tremendous amount of natural light into the master stateroom and guest staterooms. The New 51 comes standard with MAN CRM 1100 hp engines and is capable of reaching top end speeds of 36 knots and a cruising speed of 32 knots. Other advantages include the Bertram trademark deep-V hull, extra-wide walk-arounds on either side of the deckhouse, full beam to the stern for maximum cockpit space, vibration-isolating engine mounts, single fuel tank amidships with no fuel pumps that can be filled from port or starboard and a U-shaped flybridge seating with optional table for dining and entertaining.
SUMMER 2012 MODEL DEBUTS:
PERSHING 74’
The new Pershing 74’, a status symbol of the brand, is the latest creation by the yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni that was designed in collaboration with AYT of the Ferretti Group and the team of architects of Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. Measuring 74 feet in length and 18 feet meters wide, the new model reaches a maximum speed of 44 knots, while maintaining a high level of comfort. The distinctive personality of this boat is immediately visible from its external profile, which is sleeker and slender than that of its predecessor due to the shape of its side windows and longer superstructure. The new model features a sun deck that has an electro-away bridge towards the bow. Featuring one master cabin and two guest cabins, the Pershing 74’ can accommodate 6 guests and two crew members. The craft’s exterior profile, interior volumes, speed, and ample flow of light throughout the vessel make the Pershing 74 a flagship of the range, including all the stylistic features that make this brand unique worldwide.
PERSHING 82’
The Pershing 82’ is a contemporary reinterpretation of its successful predecessor, the Pershing 80’. The first vessel will hit the water in spring 2012, confirming the brand’s great challenge to develop large-size vessels without sacrificing the sportiness and speed that distinguishes every Pershing yacht. Created by the yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni in close collaboration with AYT AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology – and the team of architects and designers of Centro Stile Ferrettigroup, the craft features an external profile that is sleeker and more aggressive than that of its predecessor, due to the shape of the wider lateral windows which can be opened to providing a closer connection to the sea. Measuring 82 feet in length and 18 feet wide with 4 comfortable guest cabins including a master suite amidships, a VIP cabin forward and two cabins with twin beds as the standard layout or 3 guest cabins for the optional version, with a lounge-cinema room starboard, and two crew cabins with three beds. The Pershing 82’ comes equipped with two powerful MTU 16 V M93 of 2435 mhp (1792 kW) coupled with ZF Searex SR140S surface propellers which provide a maximum speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed of 40 knots while maintaining high levels of comfort at a range of more than 300 nautical miles.
RIVA ISEO
The Riva Iseo, the perfect blend of history and innovation, is latest model to have been launched by Riva. The 27 foot runabout showcases all of Riva’s elegant lines and is destined to become a must-have for those who love cruising on both lakes and sea. The design savvy model is also perfect for anyone wishing to enhance their yacht with an exclusive tender that will never go unnoticed and comes equipped with her own custom-made car-trailer, allowing for easy transportation wherever an owner wishes to go. The Iseo also meets the increasing demand for onboard infotainment, as the first boat in her class to be equipped with an entertainment system and GPS charting based on the Apple iPAD platform. This software has been specifically designed for Riva Iseo and also features a number of interesting applications, such as browsing the Riva Iseo owner manual, viewing the weather forecast and other information in addition to the pleasure of listening to live stream radio, TV or one's own playlists with high quality sound. The new model is an important innovation for the celebrated nautical brand due to its size and design elements and was recently awarded the prestigious Motor Boat of the Year 2012 in the “Performance & Superboats” category during the London Boat Show. The Iseo will also be available in a hybrid engine version utilizing Ferretti Group’s revolutionary ZEM (Zero Emission Mode) cruising option, which will not compromise speed, while using high-powered diesel propulsion in combination with the electric one.
RIVA 63’ VIRTUS
The Riva 63' Virtus reinterprets the concept of an open yacht with this new model that has a true Mediterranean style and design. Typical of the legendary Riva yachts their unmistakable elegance, class, refinement and clean lines are always evident. The new 63 Virtus exteriors will feature a spacious areas which enable owners to enjoy the yacht in the company of their guests with the addition of two large sundecks that will be added to the bow and stern. The open-air entertainment element of the yacht is also extended to the helm area where the driving seat consists of a three-seater sofa, enabling owners to share the pleasure of driving the yacht with their guests. The interior utilizes all available space by featuring a large salon and full size galley. The master cabin is located portside astern with an en-suite head that is set slightly lower to maximize headroom space. The guest cabin, located port-side amidships, features a set of L-shape double beds, which offer a pleasant panoramic view of the surface of the water. The VIP cabin is set at bow and also includes an en-suite head with a day head being located across the guest cabin. The new Riva 63' Virtus will soon become the newest flagship of the Riva open yachts, a model designed to endure while gliding through the ocean.
RIVA 75’ VENERE SUPER
The new 75’ Venere Super is the result of the collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology – and Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. The new edition of one of the shipyard’s most popular models has been renewed to optimize the space and internal furnishings appointments. The fly bridge of the new 75’ Venere Super has been enriched with a hard top featuring an elegant and sleek line that allows for total owner maneuverability. The craft’s most significant innovations are located in the interior design and include the removal of the stairway from the salon to the fly bridge, which makes it possible to extend the fly bridge sundeck to create a more functional galley below decks with new units as well as the option of installing a side-by-side fridge-freezer. Another addition to the craft is the dividing wall between the helm station and the dinette, now equipped with new motorized leather Venetian blinds, which plays on the use of light and features beautiful steel accents as well as mirror fitted doors to maximize space. The 75 Venere Super’s new color of light leather in the dinette is also incorporated on the ceiling and provides for a completely different appearance to that of the previous version. Another innovation is the serving hatch, which when opened onto the dinette provides a “window” effect in the dining area. Moreover, large windows in the hull illuminate the entire master suite and the majority of the guest cabins as well. The interior furnishings have also been revised and improved in the Super version, focusing on simple, refined style. The use of bleached oak finish coupled with Africa and sand colored leather, white lacquer and new chosen color palette for the galley and helm station make the various areas of this model even more elegant and refined.
