The Ferretti Group will consolidate its leadership in a completely new exhibition structure set out over two floors and a surface area of over 2,000 square metres, once again reiterating the great attention it pays to exclusive design and innovation in all its many forms. The stand has been created with a marked architectural style, featuring natural materials and large, open areas which highlight and give further importance to the exhibited yachts.
The Ferretti Group is presenting the following models in Düsseldorf, the most important appointment for the nautical market in the Central-Northern European area:
Ferretti Yachts: Ferretti 630 (preview for the German market), Ferretti 550 and Ferretti 460
Pershing: Pershing 56’ and Pershing 46’
Itama: Fifty-Five (preview for the German market) and Forty
Riva: Rivale, Rivarama, Aquariva
Mochi Craft: 44’ Dolphin
Scaled models of the Apreamare, Custom Line and CRN brands will also be exhibited at the Group’s stand.
From the industrial point of view, the results the Ferretti Group achieved during the first few Boat Shows of the 2006/2007 season - Cannes, Monte Carlo, Genoa and Fort Lauderdale – were excellent. This is true both in terms of the huge number of highly impressed visitors who came to the stand, and the orders placed, and confirms the Ferretti Group’s leading position on both the European and international nautical markets.
From the economic point of view, the 2005/2006 nautical year once again confirmed the Ferretti Group’s excellent trend in the pleasure boating sector, fruit of the considerable commintment and the huge investments which have always been made in R&D and studying new technological and design solutions.
The closing results registered by the Ferretti Group as of 31st August 2006 were outstanding, too. The 770.4 million Euro Value of Production is an 18% increase compared with the 652.9 million Euros registered the previous year. The Ferretti Group, with 2,800 employees and 22 production units in Italy and the USA, is currently present in 95 countries, thanks to three representative branches situated in Europe, the United States and Asia. It also boasts an international network of dealers, formed of over 75 carefully selected distributors, which guarantees the Group’s clients the very best assistance in marinas all over the world.
FERRETTI GROUP YACHTS EXHIBITED AT BOOT 2007
FERRETTI YACHTS
Ferretti 630 (preview for the German market)
The Ferretti 630 was yet another challenge for the great design skills and consolidated experience of Studio Zuccon International Project and the Ferretti Group Engineering Division, who managed to design a yacht of unrivalled space and light.
The exterior profile of the Ferretti 630 is both slender and aggressive, thanks to the innovatively-designed, uninterrupted spherical glazing, stretching from stern to bow. From inside, the result is a 360-degree view of the sea, enhancing the impression of depth. The addition of huge open-view windows to the master cabin is an additional feature in the management of the light, endowing the Ferretti 630 with a solution typically encountered on larger vessels.
A spacious, American-style galley is set at the entrance to the salon, which can be closed off completely by a transparent sliding door and pivoted window. Once opened, however, the window removes all barriers between indoors and out.
Below deck, the mezzanine floor houses the VIP cabin featuring a bathroom with separate shower. The twin-bedded guest cabin on the starboard side shares a bathroom with the day area. A stairway descends to the large, full beam master cabin, where the light and view of the sea can be enjoyed both from the bed and chaise-longue set to the right, and the spacious bathroom area.
Ferretti 550
The new layout of the Ferretti 550 means that, for the very first time, a yacht of her size (57 feet, 17.37 metres) can feature three cabins and three bathrooms. Special windows have been designed for this craft, the benefit being the natural light in the cabins.
The interiors are more spacious and feature highly luxurious finishes. Light-coloured, opaque, open-pore, varnished oak has been used for the furniture, while the galley and bathroom flooring were designed using wengè profiles. The saloon has been totally redesigned. A U-shaped sofa and dining-table to the right dominate the space, while there is a sofa on the left. A few steps lead down to the L-shaped galley, featuring two sinks and a black marble worktop.
Below deck, the master cabin features a large, double wardrobe and bathroom. The two, twin-bedded, guest cabins both have en-suite bathrooms.
The standard layout of the Ferretti 550 also provides for a comfortably-sized, single-bedded cabin with en-suite bathroom from which it is possible to access the galley directly. This can be used either as a crew or additional guest cabin.
Ferretti 460
The Ferretti 460 is the new entry model of the Ferretti Yachts range, striking the ideal balance between “compact” dimensions (14.35 m), great comfort and an excellent performance.
On boarding the yacht, guests access the comfortable salon which opens out with a cosy conversation area, and the day area can also be used as a salon. All furnishings have been designed to optimise the use of space and enhance the value of the interior, featuring light-coloured oak wood and finishing elements which can be customised to create enticing contrasts with the other materials.
The night area features two guest cabins, set at the centre of the yacht, one fitted with twin beds arranged in parallel, the second with bunk-beds, separated from the spacious master cabin at the bow by two well-equipped bathrooms. The master cabin features a large wardrobe and storage units for personal belongings.
The completely redesigned flybridge features a pleasant dinette with a central table, offering the convenience of extra space for experiencing the sea in unique comfort. The lines of the Ferretti 460 are enhanced by a large spoiler at stern, highly efficient as in all Ferretti models. The owner will also find the size of the swimming platform and cockpit, designed to provide freedom of movement, more than adequate.
PERSHING
Pershing 56’
Top levels of performance, a rich, multifaceted character and luxurious comfort. Totally in keeping with Pershing’s unique style, the result of painstaking attention paid to the design of the boat’s internal and external areas is a remarkable layout and optimum use of space for a craft of this size. Featuring three cabins and three bathrooms, a comfortably-sized dinette, fully-equipped galley, crew cabin and carefully studied spaces, the Pershing 56’ guarantees the finest onboard living comfort. Her 3-level structure and high ceilings mean this craft features exceptional solutions, such as the original way in which the galley is elegantly separated from the living area by a translucent aluminium and crystal partition, and the refined master cabin which makes expert use of space, even the corners of the room.
With the distinct personality of her design, dominated by the brilliance of her white and silver colouring, the Pershing 56’, has a harmonious profile made more aggressive by her side band and black inserts. A powerful character, confirmed by excellent performance levels, enable this yacht to cruise comfortably at over 48 knots, even when fully laden, thanks to twin MAN 1360 horsepower “Common Rail” engines coupled with Arneson (ASD 12L) drives.
Pershing 46’
This compact, but extremely important creation, encloses the long experience of the Pershing shipyard in almost 16 metres. She combines a superb performance with on-board comfort, making room for the unthinkable. This yacht joins the medium-small scale yacht segment of a range of models which satisfies any requirement. The tried and tested teamwork of yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni and the Ferretti Group and Pershing Engineering Departments has managed to create a concentration of functionality, style and inventive interior planning. The very best in comfort and design unite harmoniously and functionally in three spacious cabins with en-suite bathrooms. The VIP cabin set at stern has its own separate access. Pershing’s usual painstaking care over the choice of materials, to enhance the warmth and brightness of the interiors below deck, is immediately apparent. From the spacious cockpit to the functional, ergonomic layout of the controls; from the fully-equipped galley to the practical tender launcher and general ease of movement outside; everything in the Pershing 46’ offers the top quality and the advanced technology of a design which even managed to obtain approval for cruising on the Swiss lakes.
ITAMA
Itama FiftyFive (preview for the German market)
Great leader of the Itama fleet, the Itama FiftyFive, launched in 2006, is a radically new vessel which combines top performance with a layout offering unprecedented space both internally and externally. This motoryacht has a marked contemporary feel, clearly revealing the technological developments and improvements made to the craft, the totally modern nature of her design and the way it reflects the latest trends in terms of style, but always in keeping with the Itama style.
Itama FiftyFive can accommodate up to 12 guests. The open yacht features twin 1360 horsepower “Common Rail” MAN engines in V-drive guaranteeing an estimated top speed of 41 knots and a cruising speed of 37. This outstanding performance is guaranteed by the shape of the yacht, derived from Itama’s distinctive, famous deep V-shaped hull now featuring a new, more dynamic structure, with a higher bow and slimmer, loftier stern.
The deck has also been redesigned, and currently features a more curved profile. This increases the sporting style of a yacht which boasts sea performance as one of her most important features.
The layout of the FiftyFive features 3 cabins – the master cabin, a VIP cabin and a double-bedded cabin - and 3 en-suite bathrooms, a large dinette with a modern, functional galley, and a crew cabin with an en-suite bathroom at stern, with independent access from the cockpit.
The interior finishes are both sought-after and valuable, and include zebrano essence, ostrich leather and alcantara, resulting in a smart and exclusive, but comfortable, yacht.
Itama Forty
Itama has, rightly, focussed on this fibreglass yacht since she was launched, and to date the vessel has achieved a range of significant sales objectives. Developed from the unforgettable 38’, the Itama Forty is the first open yacht in an innovative new line, featuring a contemporary, yet timeless, design and distinctive Itama style.
The Itama Forty is a day cruiser able to accommodate up to 8 guests. The sleek, streamlined line of this craft is uniquely and aggressively Itama, with her distinctive 22° deep “V” hull which guarantees unrivalled seaworthiness. The Itama Forty can reach a top speed of 35 knots, and is driven by twin 450 CV MAN engines offering an excellent performance, making this open both powerful and reliable thanks to her perfect cruising trim.
The layout below deck features a refined, essential design, combined with large, modular spaces. This model, characterised by the master cabin set at bow, a bathroom and a large dinette with concealed galley, is available in two versions, with either one or two cabins.
The result is a highly-appealing, fast cruiser, which harmoniously combines top performance, reliability, seaworthiness and sophisticated comfort.
RIVA
Rivale
Of the various members of the Riva family, this is the yacht whose character, as indeed her name suggests, is both strong and gritty. It is not only a matter of name, however. Indeed, Rivale’s unique, sharp line has a smart, welcoming heart, created from refined wood and quality textiles. The interior design is based on a harmonious blend of elegance and sobriety, and cleverly set out living areas, enabling optimum use. This 52 footer features large cabins, a comfortable dining-area and a cockpit which satisfies all demands for outdoor living, as well as one of the largest garages (which stores a 3.2 metre tender) in her category, making her unique with a strong personality. The size of this unrivalled yacht has been chosen by owners wishing to man and enjoy their craft firsthand (if this is the case, the crew cabin can be used as a guest cabin) and enjoy life at sea in comfort indeed, but also total privacy, counting on reliability and simplicity of use. Rivale carries the philosophy of the new Riva yachts: personality, style, elegance and constant innovation.
Rivarama
Defined by international press as “the classiest floating suite in the world” the 44 foot Rivarama is not only highly technological and innovative, but also naturally elegant and stylish. Her futuristic driving seat, a masterpiece of design and ergonomics, transforms from 1 seat into 3 in a few seconds by means of a hydraulic system. This, and the electronically controlled, two-speed gearbox are just two examples of the technological level of this model. The master cabin offers all the comforts of a 5 star hotel, including a unique rapid cooling system for a bottle of champagne and fluted glasses. Moreover, the new 800 horsepower motors enable the Rivarama to cruise at 36 knots, meaning even long voyages can be made quickly in total comfort. A completely independent crew cabin in a yacht of this size makes Rivarama practically unique to her category, fully-able to meet the demands of the most exclusive owner. It is not by chance that this yacht has won prestigious awards as best Open in the 40 to 60 feet category two years’ running.
Aquariva
More than any other model, this yacht testifies Riva’s natural style evolution over the years. The soft, elegant lines of this 33 footer reflect a taste for tradition, the valuable, beautifully carved wooden decks (mahogany inlaid with maple) and leather trimmings of the dashboard and helm highlight the pleasure of sailing in a timeless classic, offering unique, incomparable emotions and comfort. The innovative, electronically-controlled, two speed gearbox reveals all the gritty passion of the two powerful 370 horsepower Yanmar motors, featuring an exceptional performance.
Symbol of Riva’s modern elegance and style, Aquariva has confirmed her success on all continents, just as the legendary Aquarama - now a cult yacht for collectors all over the world - did a few decades ago.
Aquariva has not just inherited her distinguishing style and elegance from her predecessor, but also the continuous success she enjoys, season after season. Indeed, in October 2006 model no.100 was launched, an event celebrated by the creation of a special, limited edition of the model, called Aquariva Cento.
MOCHI CRAFT
44’ Dolphin
The strong personality of the Dolphin 44’, entry model of the Mochi range, is immediately apparent from the coral coloured hull chosen for the first yacht – bringing to mind the colour of the lobsters caught by the New England workboats in the 1950s.
Once on-board, visitors will immediately discover the new interpretation of this 44 footer, an open with an open cockpit, and open dinette which can be closed off by a light-coloured, sliding canvas partition, so the salon can be air-conditioned. The large cockpit and dinette, furnished with comfortable corner sofas, welcome guests, as does the spacious sundeck at bow, which can accommodate up to four people stretched out comfortably.
Mochi Craft’s vocation to the sea is also apparent from the swimming platform which opens out at stern, extending the cockpit towards the surface of the water, creating a private swimming platform, ideal for relaxing or swimming in the sea. Plenty of space is also to be found below deck. The stairway leads directly down into the well-equipped, American-style galley with a large window opening out over the worktop, providing a view of the sea.
The decision to set the master cabin in the centre of the yacht, when in yachts of this size it is usually set at bow, made it possible to increase the space reserved for the shipowner, provide greater protection against bow movement and wave motion, and create considerably larger spaces, thus increasing on-board comfort.
For guests, the Dolphin 44’ provides a cabin at bow featuring a queen sized bed and a single bed. Guests can enjoy view of the sea from this cabin through the porthole set in the overlying sundeck.
