2010年11月29日

Sanya/Forlì, 29th November 2010 – The Ferretti Group, a world leader within the sphere of the design, construction and sale of motoryachts which encompasses a unique portfolio of some of the most exclusive brands in the nautical world, has achieved further success in China. Indeed, through its brand, Ferretti Custom Line, the Group has signed an important sales contract with real estate company Xanadu South China Sea for Ferretti Custom Line 112’ NEXT (34 metres).
The reason this agreement is such an important success for the Ferretti Group is that 112’ NEXT is one of the largest yachts ever to be sold in the country.

The order was confirmed with a ceremony-cum-event celebrated in Sanya, Southern China, on the Island of Hainan. Ferretti Group’s top management attended, as well as dealer Speedo Marine, Xanadu South China Sea and a number of prestigious guests, including the Italian Consul in Guangzhou..

112’ NEXT will be one of the most exclusive luxury services available to guests of the sumptuous real estate and tourist complex of Xanadu South China Sea currently being built on the island of Hainan. She is also one of the largest motoryachts of a European shipyard ever to sail through Chinese waters. The yacht will, therefore, play a primary role in guaranteeing true added value to the structure, which will be one of the most important resorts in Southern China, consisting in a 5 star hotel, many beautiful villas, a spa, conference centre, landing pad for helicopters and private marina. Today, the new elite of Chinese High Net Worth Individuals considers the island of Hainan, with its luxuriant, uncontaminated nature, the best tourist resort in China.

This significant result for both Ferretti Custom Line and the entire Ferretti Group was made possible both through the Group’s significant commitment to developing China’s nautical culture over the past few years, and the strategy which singled China out as one of the markets with highest potential.

Salvatore Basile, Ferretti Group CEO, commented “This agreement makes us especially proud. Ferretti Custom Line 112’ NEXT’s arrival in China, made possible through the hard work of our dealer Speedo Marine is both an important sign and a reason of great pride for our Group,” adding “The Ferretti Group considers the Chinese market to be a strategic, highly promising area for our sector. For this reason, the Group has been present in China for the past seven years, with a branch of representation in Shanghai. Said branch enables us to best coordinate the growth and management of our sales network, and be present in a market that will become the top for the nautical sector in Asia over the next five years.”

Giuseppe Zecchin, Ferretti Group Asia Pacific Area Manager stated “This agreement is further proof that Ferretti Custom Line is synonymous with Italian excellent in China. With the rapid growth of the Chinese economy, the demand for luxurious Italian-made goods has increased, and the Ferretti Group has managed to best respond to the demands of a continuously changing market. Today, Asian clients are increasingly more interested in large yachts and there is a change towards a more western way of using them. Moreover, the area in the south of the country is confirming itself as one which focuses more on leisure and boating, and boasts a number of famous tourist resorts. Amongst these, the most exclusive is the island of Hainan, where our 112’ NEXT” will be moored.

Ferretti Custom Line, Ferretti Group brand, produces fibreglass yachts measuring 26 to 38 metres in length, belonging to two lines: planing and semi-displacement.
Ferretti Custom Line yachts are result of the working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Groups naval research and design centre, and the team of architects and designers at Centro Stile Ferrettigroup.

One distinctive feature of Ferretti Custom Line is the opportunity to customise all the non-structural elements of the yachts, ranging from wood, marble and furnishings to specialised design solutions: indeed, each and every yacht is unique, and mirrors the Owner’s taste and personality.

112’ NEXT is an out and out villa on the sea, measuring over 34 metres in length and 7 in width. She features spacious areas both below deck and in the open, a master suite on the main deck and four spacious guest cabins with large, open view windows overlooking the sea. 112’ NEXT is also fitted with last generation entertainment systems, as well as an innovative monitoring and control system. Twin 2775mhp MTU engines drive the yacht to a top speed of 26 knots. On board comfort is guaranteed by 4 Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilisers, fitted in the engine room, which reduce yacht rolling by up to 50%.
