THE FIRST HULL OF FERRETTI 690 HAS BEEN LAUNCHED IN CESENATICO

2012年7月30日

Cesenatico, 30th July 2012 – Ferretti 690 has been launched between the evening of last Tuesday, 24th and the morning of Wednesday 25th at the dock of Cesenatico (Italy). Another step forward for the fleet of Ferretti Yachts, which now features a brand new model in the above 70 feet range. In these weeks all the necessary technical operations will be carried out on the yacht – tests by RINA, sea trials of the prototype, system and unit tests – and the internal fitting will be completed.

Ferretti 690, which will be presented as a world premiere and the Cannes boat show from 11th to 16th September, and will be on display at the Genoa boat show, is the result of the strict collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project, AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, the research and design centre of the Ferretti Group, and the expert team of architects and designers of Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. This yacht has an overall length of 21.07 meters and a 5 meter beam. It was entirely produced at the production plant of the Group in Forlì (Italy).

“We are very proud of the launch of this new model – said Alessandro Tirelli, Ferretti Yachts Brand Manager – because this is the first opportunity we have to see the result of a the great job carried out in the last months at sea. We are convinced that Ferretti 690 will allow us to better cope with several kinds of owners, who will have the opportunity to satisfy their different needs, also thanks to the opportunity to choose between the three double-bed cabins or the four cabins versions. For sure, we are presenting in Cannes and Genoa one of the most important nautical innovations of this year.”

Ferretti 690 is characterized by the new design of outer lines, which are now sportier, with a sleeker and more dynamic profile. The wider glazing makes exteriors lighter and provides an amazing quantity of natural light to interior spaces. The interiors are spacious and wisely organized, in order to exploit living areas at their best. Volumes are notably enlarged by the natural light coming in from the wide windows on the main deck and from the large glazing underdeck. The flybridge is the result of an extensive study carried out by the Ferretti Group for indoor and outdoor layout optimization. This area has been has been entirely redesigned so as to ensure all guests the utmost comfort.

As for performance, the new Ferretti 690 can reach a maximum speed of 31.5 knots - preliminary data -, thanks to the two M94 2000 8V MTU engines, featuring 932 kW. A propulsion power which perfectly matches, as usual, with the utmost comfort provided by the Anti Rolling Gyro system by Mitsubishi, which reduces rolling by more than 50%.
