Ferretti Yachts presents Ferretti 500 and Ferretti 620 at the 50th International Boat Show in Genoa. These two models have developed from the working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project, and the Ferretti Groups AYT and Centro Stile, and renew the entry and intermediate level yachts of the range.
FERRETTI 500 ENTERING THE FERRETTI YACHTS WORLD
Ferretti 500 is the re-examination of Ferretti 470, one of the bestsellers of the Ferretti Yachts entry level range, and has been designed to offer Owners even greater comfort by means of targeted solutions.
This yacht further develops the balance between interiors and exteriors. This is clear through the extension of the surface area of the cockpit, which enhances liveability in this environment, and the work carried out on the interior dcor, which gives a renewed feeling of contemporary classicism, in line with the entire range.
Externally, the racy, sporty line of the previous model has been maintained, and four large windows in the guest areas on the lower deck added, fruit of the design expertise of Studio Zuccon International Project. Moreover, two large windows have been fitted at bow, featuring portholes which can be opened, bringing natural light into the owner cabin. Two oval windows with double portholes light the guest cabins.
Ferretti Yachts has chosen to keep some of the strong points of the entry level range models, like Ferretti 470, on board the Ferretti 500 which measures over 15 metres in length and almost five in width whit unique solutions which further optimise the on-board space. The clearest example of this is the position of the galley astern, the aim of which is to enhance on-board liveability. A large single space can be created by opening the swinging window, bringing together the cockpit, galley and living area. The night area has three comfortable cabins, two for guests and one for the Owner, at bow, with a large head. Outdoors, the flybridge features spacious areas where those aboard can enjoy the sun.
This yacht is fitted with twin 600hp Cummins QSC 6.3 engines, which drive Ferretti 500 to a top speed of 30 knots (preliminary data).
FERRETTI 620 BALANCE FINDS ITS IDEAL SHAPE
Ferretti 620 replaces and re-examines the Ferretti 592, from which its origin and inspiration come. This evolution features several structural and decorative alterations which endow the yacht with even greater liveability and on-board comfort.
Ferretti 620 measures almost 19 metres in length and over 5 in width. With this model, Ferretti Yachts aims to respond even more punctually to the demands of those Owners looking for a yacht which offers the right balance between a compact exterior line and excellent living solutions. Indeed, Ferretti 620 features spacious areas for socialising, both on the main deck and externally. The lower deck has two large guest cabins and a full-beam master cabin with large, open view windows, typically a characteristic of much larger yachts.
Externally, the profile has been made lighter through the insertion of four large windows in the hull: two large windows with portholes which can be opened have been fitted at bow, in the VIP cabin, and two oval windows with double portholes light the guest cabins.
The cockpit has been extended in length and rendered more usable through insertion of a fixed teak table and relocation of the gangway to the left a typical solution for much larger yachts in order to make the access point for boarding more functional.
Internally, harmonious contrasts between the new flamed, bleached oak wood, the original biscuit colour of some structural details and the dcor which plays with light colours giving a feel of contemporary elegance, intervene to move the space.
The position of the galley has remained astern, as in the previous model, but an electric wall solution has been inserted which further increases both the aesthetics and onboard comfort. This wall, completed with the sliding door, isolates and closes the galley environment, turning the main deck into a living area.
A number of changes have been made to divide the areas reserved for the crew, the engine room and the tank on the lower deck, resulting in more space and better quality of life on board in the owner area, too.
In more detail, compared with the previous model, Ferretti 592, the tank has been fitted between the owner area and the crew cabin. The crew now has accommodation which covers the entire width of the hull, with a porthole which can be opened and a separate head.
The tank acts as further sound insulation, improving the acoustic quality of the master cabin, bringing further improvement to the already excellent onboard comforts. Moreover, repositioning of the crew area has brought an advantage to the master cabin, too. A large head has been developed, which stretches out full-beam behind the master cabin bed.
Ferretti 620 is fitted with twin 900hp MAN V 8-900 engines as standard (with the option of twin MAN V10-1100 engines) which drive the yacht to a top speed of 29 knots (preliminary data).
Moreover, Ferretti Yachts is displaying Ferretti 800 for the very first time at an Italian boat show at the 50th International Boat Show in Genoa. Also this model was developed by Architect Gianni Zuccon from Studio Zuccon International Project, liaising with the Ferretti Groups AYT and Centro Stile.
With this yacht, the shipyard continues to renew the range of large models, combining style and exploration within the sphere of design. The result is a yacht characterised by generous interiors, a layout typical to larger yachts, and a winning line.
The exterior profile of Ferretti 800 features two important new ideas: use of the bronze colour for the onion dome, and the graphical line of the windows characterised by the alternation of sinuous curves and decisive cuts. The yacht is available in a hard top version, too.
The main deck is almost entirely lit by windows which allow for maximum external visibility. Three shark branchiae windows have been fitted, almost as if confirming the yachts affinity with the sea. The lower deck features new solutions which guarantee extraordinary light for yachts in this segment. The two big open view windows of the master suite have been further enlarged, whilst two extensive new concept windows have been fitted in the guest area, with portholes which can be opened, guaranteeing total functionality.
Ferretti 800 is fitted with twin MAN 1800 engines, which drive the yacht to a top speed of 31.5 knots.
