49° Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 30th-nov 3rd
30 октября 2008 г.
Following the world preview held at the Festival de la Plaisance 2008 in Cannes, Custom Line chooses the 49th edition of the International Fort Lauderdale Boat Show for the U.S. premiere of the new flagship 112’ NEXT, model conceived to complete and renew the planning series of the fleet.
The 112’ NEXT - created by a collaboration between the Studio Zuccon International Project and AYT, Advanced Yacht Technology - the Ferretti group marine design and research centre - is not only elegant but displays the ability to ensure high cruising pleasure, reflecting advanced construction standards.
The new maxi yacht is a natural development of the Custom Line 112' – a highly successful design – and while retaining the sleek lines and performance of the yard’s planing models, it offers some tempting innovations:
• spacious interiors and exteriors, like the generous 22 sq.m cockpit, the 45 sq.m salon and 11 sq.m galley
• wide main deck stern to bow windows flooding the salon and owner’s cabin with light
• four large open view windows at water level providing exceptional illumination for the lower deck cabins
• a hard top, the same design as featured on the 97’, making the fly bridge more comfortable by creating areas of sunshine and shade
• a large sun area with barbecue, fridge and Jacuzzi covered by sunpads, with teak flooring
• a touch of contemporary elegance, highlighted by the American walnut and bright interior colour schemes
The stunning quality of the 112’ NEXT is embodied in a semi-custom product, where the owner is offered a choice in all the yacht’s non-structural elements - from the decor, with a range of prestigious materials like woods, leathers and fabrics, to the furnishings, created by collaborations with the best Italian brands.
The on board audio and visual equipment, including a HI-FI system with CD and DVD players, provides ultimate relaxation at sea. Docking stations in the owner’s cabin and salon allow passengers to hook up their own their iPods and listen to their favourite sounds.
The salon boasts a 42-inch pop-up plasma screen linked to the Playtime multimedia platform, capable of handling all audio/visual entertainment in the communal spaces and VIP cabins.
CUSTOM LINE 112' NEXT details
MAIN DECK
The huge salon is entered from the spacious cockpit, furnished with a table for ten and wicker divans, through two sliding tempered crystal doors. It’s divided into a relaxation area with armchairs and divans and a dining area with glass table. Next is the professional-standard galley and dinette, with two access doors.
The owner’s cabin is located forward – larger than in the layout of the old 112’, it offers absolute privacy with ample natural light provided by large windows. It boasts a roomy private bathroom with double shower and comfy double bench, separated from the heads. The occupants are also offered a spacious walk-in wardrobe.
LOWER DECK
On the lower deck the sleeping area comprises four comfortable cabins, two VIP suites with private bathroom and hydromassage tub, plus two twins with private heads and generous shower cabins. The aft full-beam VIP suite has double open view windows and wardrobe. To ensure maximum privacy for the owner and guests, the crew quarters - for six people with separate cabins for the captain and hostess – can be accessed through the galley.
UPPER DECK
The spacious fly bridge on the Custom Line 112’ NEXT, offering a second exterior helm area with a small L-shaped divan and chart table starboard, means on board life can be spent in great comfort in the open air. Sun lovers can enjoy a zone with three loungers and tables, plus a Jacuzzi surrounded by large sunpads. The tub also has a cover that forms another sunpad. A table with a spacious seat, flanked by a BBQ and fridge, creates an extra dining area in the relaxing shade of the hard top.
The totally waterproof garage is accessed through the aft hatch, and can house a 4.6 metre tender and a stand-up jetski stowed with a davit on the fly bridge. A smaller tender can also be stowed in the forepeak.
INSTRUMENTATION AND ENGINES
The 112’ NEXT is equipped with latest-generation instruments Furla.net, including innovative control systems that allow consumption, services and alarms to be monitored quickly and simply with touch screen commands. This solution provides the crew with even more convenient access to on board systems, a significant improvement in comfort and safety.
Four Mitsubishi ARG units (Anti Rolling Gyro) are mounted in the engine room. They are exclusively installed for the world market on many Ferretti group yachts, and are now standard equipment for Custom Line maxi yachts. This system is able to reduce roll, the main obstacle to onboard comfort, especially at anchor, more than 50%.
Custom Line 112’ NEXT is built according to MCA Short Range Compliant safety rules, issued by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and expressly intended for maxi yachts from 24 to 38 metres with the aim of raising safety standards and allowing the use of these yachts for charter. From a technical viewpoint, conformation to these rules involves a series of build modifications that ensure high safety standards.
Custom Line 112’ NEXT is powered by two MTU 12v 4000 M90 engines, producing 2775 Mhp in the standard configuration for a top speed of 26 knots at half load and a cruising speed of 23 knots.
