Ferretti 630: the revolution of space
17 октября 2005 г.
The Ferretti 630 posed yet another challenge to the great design skills and long-term experience of Studio Zuccon International Project and the Ferretti Group Engineering Division, who were able to show their mettle by generating a yacht of unrivalled space and luminosity.
The exterior profile of the Ferretti 630 is very slender and aggressive, thanks to an uninterrupted spherical glazed surface, of innovative design, extending from stern to bow. In the interior, the result is a 360-degree view of the sea, enhancing the impression of depth. The addition of huge open-view windows to the owner's cabin is another plus feature in the management of the light, endowing the Ferretti 630 with a solution typically encountered on bigger-sized vessels.
Externally, numerous solutions have been conceived to heighten the pleasure of outdoor life: a large sun lounge zone occupies the full width of the yacht near the bow, in front of the helmsman's station, where a fixed and extendable table is surrounded by a U-shaped sofa. The back of the sofa, on the helmsman's side, can be rearranged to obtain a two-seater sofa and facilitate the conversation with the person at the controls. The fridge-grill area is situated next to the ladder leading up to the fly bridge, so that snacks and nibbles can also be prepared on the flying bridge.
The cockpit of the Ferretti 630 has been equipped with a fixed teak table for up to 8 people, with a storage compartment for stowing away the small armchairs. A bar cabinet, that may enclose a fridge has been installed next to the galley area, which communicates with the exterior by means of a swinging door. From the cockpit, it is possible to reach the crew's quarters, with a cabin that can be fitted out with one or two beds and a toilet.
The revolution of space on the Ferretti 630 can be perceived the moment you open the swinging door to the lounge, where a brand-new layout welcomes the guests. Further on towards the bow, on the port side, we find a large U-shaped sofa and a low central table, while on the opposite site, the dining zone houses a table with 4 chairs and an L-shaped sofa. A 26" LCD TV set, rested on a cabinet next to the table, is visible both from the sofa and from the dining area. All the furnishings are made of matte teak and the walls are lined with a light-coloured fabric. On the starboard side, a spacious galley is equipped with modern kitchen furniture with an Africa black granite top and a ceramic glass cooktop. The galley can be closed off by a transparent sliding door, whose panels made of wooden strips and opaline glass let the light filter through. Across from the galley, a specially fashioned sofa is flanked by a bar cabinet. On the same side we find a "topside" ladder going up to the fly bridge.
The cockpit of the Ferretti 630 is in direct communication with the living area, and it can also be accessed from the external hatchway according to a solution typical of bigger-sized vessels.
Below the deck we find the mezzanine that houses the VIP cabin with a double bed, a spacious closet, two bookshelves flanking the bed and a toilet with separate shower and teak covered floor. The guest cabin on the starboard side has twin beds and shares a toilet with the living area.
A ladder descends to the big owner's cabin, equipped with a capacious closet and a large toilet with separate shower and teak covered floor. As you walk in, you get an impression of spaciousness, enhanced by the great luminosity offered by the open-view windows situated on both sides, with opening port-holes provided to ventilate the cabin. Above the headboard, a teak frame houses bookshelves and a big mirror. To the left, a wooden chaise-longue covered with fabric offers a chance to lie down and enjoy the view of the sea. On the opposite side, a vanity table and a dresser provide plenty of practical storage space. The windows are flanked by bookshelves.
The Ferretti 630 offers a choice of two top performing MAN engines, the 1100 or the 1224; with the more powerful engine, cruising speed is 30.5 knots and top speed is 33 knots.
