FERRETTI GROUP BOATS ON DISPLAY
AT THE MONACO YACHT SHOW
20th – 23rd September 2006
In more detail, the yachts the Ferretti Group is exhibiting on occasion of the Monaco Yacht Show are:
CRN Ability 54 m (new)
With its marvellously proportioned form “Ability”, is a 54-metre displacement mega-yacht, made of steel and aluminium. Large-scale volumes and a passion for all the different aspects of the sea provided the underlying inspiration for the creative talent of Studio Zuccon International Project as it designed this project, together with CRN technical staff. Numerous spaces which open onto the sea characterise the layout of “Ability”. A crystal panel opens onto a fitness area which functions as a spa, with a sauna, Turkish bath and gymnasium, A “reverse motif” appears to be the implicit theme of the stylistic choices comprising the interior design, dominated by an art-deco look that includes features which remind one of the imperial style. Veneers of precious woods (no fewer than 8 can be found on the vessel) add further lustre to the different rooms, which are already enriched by an abundant use of silk and velvet, furs and leather, plus exclusive, highly sophisticated accessories, such as Versace lamps, Ralph Lauren couches and the Philippe Stark chaise-lounge.
While the large volumes of the “Ability” appear impressive from the moment one steps on the yacht, it is on the sundeck that the vessel’s impressive size can be fully-appreciated. An area measuring 130 square metres holds a luncheon area, bar, pool and sun-bathing space, equipped with cushions and chaise lounges that can easily be replaced with a platform on which to land a helicopter. In the engine compartment, which has a control room of its own, are two Caterpillar 3512B engines that drive the vessel at a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 15 knots.
Custom Line 97’ (new)
Custom Line 97’, a 29.5 metre yacht featuring a smart and aggressive layout, is the latest model produced by the Custom Line shipyard. Heir to Custom Line 94’, the first yacht produced from the working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project and the CRN Engineering Division, it takes up its shape, while featuring new design solutions which increase the space available to owners and their guests.
From the spacious cockpit guests can access the salon, featuring a conversation and dining area. Continuing towards the bow, there is a large galley fitted with professional equipment. Also located forward is the master cabin, with large windows on both sides. Going below deck, the guest area features four cabins, including two VIP cabins with double beds and two with twin beds, each of which has its own en-suite bathroom.
Access to the crew cabins is amidships, and provides access to the galley, the control panel and the side doors without coming into contact with owners and their guests.
The flying bridge has plenty of sunbathing space, while a table with a wide bench and barbeque area provide another dining area, so that those aboard have the opportunity to enjoy life in the open air at sea. The internal fittings are all modern, and feature light, bright woods such as durmast with walnut inserts. The owner can choose finishes from the wide range of choices available, in line with the Custom Line tradition. This maxi yacht can be equipped with two types of engines, i.e. twin 16v 2000 M93 1790kW MTU engines able to reach a top speed of 29 knots (at half load) and a cruising speed of 27 knots, or twin 16v 2000 M91 1470 kW MTU able to reach a top speed of 27 knots and cruising speed of 25. Four Mitsubishi ARG (Anti-Rolling Gyro) stabilisers are fitted in the engine room of the Custom Line 97’.
Riva Athena 115’
Athena 115’ is an imposing 35 m yacht, set between two perfect, continuous lines that tighten into an aggressive bow. Every detail is the result of wise, sophisticated aesthetic research in unmistakable Riva style. The new Riva flagship is not only the largest boat ever built by Riva but also a challenge to maintain, in a yacht of this size, the same standards of excellence, finish and style that have made Riva famous worldwide over the years.
Clean, essential, elegant and refined, modern and original lines characterise the115' Athena: a boat of exclusive design and unique style able to seduce and conquer the most demanding boat owner. The 115' Athena presents unique, highly innovative technical and style solutions. The interior furnishings, enriched with unusual elements, are a clear expression of contemporary Italian design, highlighted by the natural light from the large windows, presents harmonious solutions which arouse admiration and emotion, and transmit the sensation of a perfect balance between elegance and sobriety. As for the internal layout, Officina Italiana Design created a Riva yacht for 24 people, with separated access ways for guests and crew and the opportunity to plan 4 to 6 cabins, the master cabin and organise the dining-area in various ways in order to satisfy different needs.
Riva 75’ Venere (new)
Sinuous, soft and beautiful, Venere, the new Riva flybridge, yet another yacht designed by Mauro Micheli and Officina Italiana Design, is the umpteenth confirmation of the unique style and unmistakeable elegance typical of Riva yachts.
An exquisite example of top quality craftsmanship, the new Riva 75’ Venere presents numerous avant-garde solutions. These range from the vast windows in the cabins on the lower deck to the stern that opens out into a spacious swimming platform, ideal for free time and practising water sports. The highly innovative interior design features a contrast in colours between the bleached oak of the walls and furniture and black lacquering, creating a warm, cosy atmosphere. Painstaking care has been taken over each of the cabins on the lower deck, too, the result being a first class yacht, 23 metres of unmistakeable style, a masterpiece of modern design and luxury.
Driven by two MTU ten cylinder 1524 MHP motors, the new goddess of the Riva Olympus naturally offers excellent standards and a top performance, reaching a top speed of 32 knots with a range of 300 miles at cruising speed.
Pershing 115'
The Pershing 115’ is the ultimate expression of the distinctive values of Planet Pershing, a style revolution created to amaze. Achieving the highest levels of innovation, comfort, performance, design and class is a challenge, and one which has been met here with an unparalleled level of commitment by the Pershing staff and the Ferretti Group Engineering Division. The new flagship stands out particularly for the distinctive originality of its sleek, dynamic external profile, extraordinary performance and total comfort. This is especially true of the high-powered gas turbine version featuring a top speed of 52 knots in perfect stability – putting this mega yacht in a league of its own. Winner of the coveted “ICE Award 2004 – The Italian Style MegaYacht”, for the elegance of its interiors (a decision made by a prestigious jury), and the “Performance Award 2006” at the “Venice Boat International World Superyacht”, the Pershing 115’ embodies the best of the shipyard’s style in terms of the refinement of its finishes, its one-off elements and the extraordinary standards of its furnishings and materials. The revolutionary design of the yacht’s external shape has also enabled the creation of a series of hitherto impossible, interior environments. Pershing’s most ambitious creation to date, therefore, offers the pleasure of space designed according to a concept where luxury and privacy are paramount.
Pershing 90'
Yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni and the Ferretti Group Engineering Division have designed a craft that has the look and character of a mega yacht featuring a range of solution which, for this segment, can only be described as extremely courageous. The interiors are all remarkably high and spacious. The upper salon is a single, large open space, whereas there is a clear division between the night area in the bow, the spacious galley and the crew quarters in the stern. The space and volumes on the Pershing 90’ are decidedly unusual. The result is astounding, as is the spacious, exclusive elegance of the four cabins with en-suite bathrooms plus a further bathroom, the access areas and the prestigious finishes and top design accessories. Several details give this yacht its unmistakeable character. For example, on the upper level the solarium is a deliberately private area, designed almost as a fly deck. The master cabin is extremely well lit owing to the side windows, and the upper salon features an original open-space design. The hangar opening is designed to be completely separate from the cockpit and the stern deck makes launching jet skis easy. These are just some of the details that make this already impressive craft (maximum speed of 44 knots and a cruising speed of approximately 38 knots) even greater and turn an unprecedented concept of life onboard into reality.
