The new Custom Line 97'
1 сентября 2005 г.
A new line of the Custom Line fleet is born! After the unparalleled success of the Custom Line 94’ that saw a total of 21 units sold in just six years, this prestigious brand has announced the debut of the new Custom Line 97’ for the 2005-2006 season. This 29.5 meter planing hull is a natural evolution of the Custom Line 94’ and keeps many of the fundamental characteristics that made it such a success whilst at the same time totally revitalizing the interiors, the flybridge and the transom. The vessel is a tribute to the ongoing co-operation between the CRN shipyard and the Zuccon International Project Studio that cares for the Interior and Exterior layout. A significant study has been made of the interior layout allowing the yard to create four generous double guest cabins below deck, one more than the Custom Line 94’. A lengthy and detailed research was also made to enable CRN to build ample and innovative windows into the hull, so that every guest cabin has a large and uniquely designed oval glass panel from which the guests can fully appreciate the beauty of the surrounding sea. Underwater lights are provided as a standard feature aboard so that this striking feature can be appreciated to the full at night. The lobby below deck has also been slightly enlarged, and an extra crew cabin has been incorporated in the design. A total of 10 guests and 5 crew can now enjoy life aboard this exceptional yacht. The aft garage has also been enlarged, a seemingly impossibile task, so that a lager tender can be housed respecting the previous model. All of the structural modifications made to the Custom Line 97’ comply with the MCA Short Range, coding, the latest saftey regulations issued by the Maritime Costguard Agency and expressly dedicated to maxi yachts of 24 to 38 meters so that the safety standards can be elevated for charter use. To comply with the Short Range coding the CRN design and production staff had to meet the highest of standards, resulting in a supremely safe yacht. The fresh new look to the transom design led to a new garage door design and a new swim ladder that allows for a lager cockpit area. This important area of the vessel is now equipped not only with a generous dining area but also with a novel aft-facing sun-sofa from which guests aboard can enjoy magnificent views in a shady environment. A fresh use of light coloured woods inside the yacht gives a contemporary new look to the interior cabinetry, where oak with walnut inserts is the recommended choice. The other significant design upgrade has been applied to the flybridge, where a new relaxation area has been included in the forward area so that guests can enjoy uninterrupted views and a generous glass door access to the pilot house. This exceptional new yacht also has a hard top with a central opening incorporated into the design. Sun or shade can be enjoyed to the full simply by opening or closing the aperture giving even greater flexibility to the use of the flybridge. the opening. Owners can choose between two engine options on this yacht. The Custom Line 97’ is equipped with two MTU 16v 2000 M93 1790 kW engines and can reach a maximum speed of 29 knots (at half load) and a cruising speed of 27 knots. An engine option of two MTU 16v 2000 M91 1470 kW is also available. Possibly the most incredible feature of this vessel is provided by four Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyros) installed in the engine room. These revolutionary products of modern engineering are supplied exclusively to Ferretti Group yachts sold to the European market and have become a standard feature on all Custom Line maxi-yachts. They represent the only system in the world that can guarantee a reduction in roll of over 50%, and the increase in comfort aboard simply has to be experienced to be believed! As with all other Custom Line maxi-yachts with planing hulls, the hull design allows the vessel to travel at displacement speeds, between 12 and 14 knots, whilst maintaining perfect trim and dramatically reducing fuel consumption for long voyages. This combination of comfortable cruising speeds and thrilling performance at planing speed is much-sought but rarely found!
The increasing requirements of ever more demanding owners has led to a painstaking research on the part of a motivated team at CRN, who are proud to present the fruits of their efforts as it takes it’s rightful place alongside the enviable fleet of Custom Line.
