Two exciting hi-tech worldwide exclusives for the Ferretti Group: Playtime by Radiomarelli and ARG by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries

20 апреля 2006 г.

Playtime: the innovative Yacht Entertainment and Internet Communication system. An exclusive worldwide agreement and technological partnership between the Ferretti Group and Radiomarine
ARG: the revolutionary anti-rolling system, fitted exclusively in Ferretti Group yachts, thanks to the renewed worldwide agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries which has now been extended to at least 2007
Thanks to the experience of Radiomarine, together with the Ferretti GroupEngineering Division, clients can now enjoy a film, tune into their favourite news channel or download music from the Internet on the open seas. These are just a few of the features of ‘Playtime’, the exclusive audio-video system pioneering the innovative concept of yacht entertainment.
• The system is made up of one unit with a single remote control and gives access to a wide range of functions:
• Films (stored on the local hard disk or on-board network)
• Music on CD and MP3 (stored on the local hard disk or on-board network)
• Satellite, terrestrial digital and analogue television channels
• FM Radio with RDS
• Digital video recorder on hard disk
• Digital photographs
Just imagine it: 60 films, 2000 music tracks, 20 hours of video and 1000 digital photographs can be stored at the same time in each yacht cabin. This is the potential of the system, thanks to 250 GB of capacity which every cabin enjoys.
But the amazing features of the system do not end here: with ‘Playtime’, clients can connect to the Internet using an infrared keyboard, send and receive e-mails and visit a specialised web site to view real time satellite weather reports.
Furthermore, the system can identify the most economical communication channel available in the boat’s vicinity at that time and will automatically or manually select land-mobile or satellite connections.
All these functions can be viewed on the plasma TVs or LCDs installed in every cabin.
The Hi-End feature combines ‘Playtime’ with video, audio and remote control systems supplied by Bang & Olufsen, the famous Danish company who has signed an important three-year co-branding deal with the Ferretti Group.
‘Playtime’ is just another of the many hi-tech features the Ferretti Group offers exclusively to its clients.
In fact, in the last few days the important worldwide exclusive agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to install its anti-rolling system (ARG, Anti-Rolling Gyro) has been renewed until at least 2007.
This revolutionary system has been installed on Ferretti Group yachts for the last three years and has enjoyed huge success, marking an extraordinary innovation in boating technology. It can reduce rolling caused by waves by more than 50%, making life on board extremely comfortable and enjoyable, both during cruising and when anchored or in port.
Gabriele del Torchio, CEO of the Ferretti Group, explains his satisfaction with the new features: “We have always offered our clients cutting-edge technology and service, thanks to large-scale investments and the constant commitment of our Engineering Division and our Partners. In particular, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Radiomarine have played an important part in improving comfort on board our yachts, with innovative products which have already become exclusive essentials for our owners”.
