Above, the limited edition of 10 exemplars of the High Artistry Homage to Hannibal Barca Limited Edition, Montblanc’s tribute to the Carthaginian leader
(adjoining page, in a 16th-century painting). This model, in white gold and black onyx, is dedicated to the Battle of Canne
(the engraving depicts the troops in formation), which together with Trebbia and Trasimeno were the three defeats Hannibal inflicted on the Roman legions.
