Riva, the world’s most famous
shipyard, has often been associ-
ated with great artists from the
world of music and film. Today, the
Riva family proudly continues this
tradition of artistic patronage as a
continuation of their father Carlo’s
great legacy. Lia Riva, the Nouveau
Musée National de Monaco, and
the Associazione Dante Alighieri
Monaco presented the documen-
tary Arte povera. Appunti per
la storia [Arte povera. Notes for
history] (2023) in the presence of
HRH Princess of Hanover and the
documentary’s producer Michele
Bongiorno. The event took place in
the Riva Tunnel in Monaco.
Arte povera. Appunti per la storia is
a film by Andrea Bettinetti with the
voice of Giuseppe Cederna; it tells
the story of this important artistic
movement of the 20th century
through the words and stories of
artists, gallery owners and critics.
