VINTAGE RIVA OLYMPIC
MODEL STEALS THE SHOW
The elegance of Riva conquered the third edition of one
of the most coveted event of the Hamptons
he Bridge event, held last 15th September
at the Bridge Golf Club in Bridgehamp-
ton, NY, not only expanded its car exhibi-
tion to 164 rare and magnificent automo-
Tbiles alongside a contemporary art fair, but in-
creased its luxury brand showcase to include other iconic
names such as Riva. In its third edition, with a carefully curat-
ed invite-only list, it is a season highlight. Classic cars graced
the fairways creating an undulating wonderland with a view
of the Peconic Bay. Riva was very much in its own element
exhibiting a classic Olympic 1973 motorboat.
The Olympic model was presented for the first time in 1969
and named after the Olympic Games held in Mexico in 1968.
The last proper wooden hulled boat to be designed by Riva
produced a limited edition of only 274, and these classics are
collectible not only for their style but function, exemplifying
Riva’s elegance and timeless beauty in the water.
The Bridge event is a collaboration between Robert Rubin,
who has owned the race circuit since 1981 and founded The
Bridge golf club in 2002, and the event’s organizers: Sham-
in Abas, President of Shamin Abas Ultra-Luxury Brand
Marketing & Business Development; and Jeffrey Einhorn,
a Manhattan-based attorney. They put together unforgetta-
ble experiences for guests, involving other luxury brands as
Pagani, Berluti, Rolls Royce, Bugatti and many others.
