Following its magnificent debut in front of the American
audience, the Itama 62RS is captivating maritime enthusiasts
worldwide with its direct connection to the sea.
In the double version with a blue or white hull and a deck
entirely clad in teak, the much–loved open measuring over
19 metres combines a high level of technology with that
unmistakable Mediterranean spirit, unique for its sleek, sporty
lines, that has earned these wonderful boats the reputation of
having been “designed by the sea”.
For Itama 62RS the architects and designers from
Ferretti Group Engineering’s Interior&Decor department
have combined the traditional Mediterranean mood, which
has made Itama an icon, with a style that matches the latest
interior design trends.
The cockpit layout is designed to offer maximum space
and to let the sea be experienced in its most authentic
dimension.
A large sundeck in grey technical fabric precedes the
living and dining area, furnished with a C–shaped sofa
surrounding the fixed steel and wood table that can be
customised to the owner’s taste, to the left of which is the
bar unit.
Forward, protected by the large front and side
windshields, is the helm, featuring a modern dashboard with
digital instrumentation integrated inside the plotter with twin
12” screens, rising to 16” in the optional version, for state–of–
the–art, easy and fun navigability. The wheel, on the other
hand, remains true to the spirit of Itama, covered in polished
varnished teak with the logo in the centre. The command
and dining areas are covered with a Bimini top with electro–
hydraulic movement.
Completely open as in all the brand’s models, the deck
features flush skylights that allow the gaze to reach the horizon.
In order to make the on–board experience more pleasant,
there’s a central passageway through the windscreen with a
pantograph opening facilitates access to the bow.
Below deck the customisation options are many, and
each of them allows the perfect compartmentalization of
the interiors to be maintained. In the living area we find a
comfortable room in light shades and walnut wood, the
dinette with movable table that can be converted into an
additional sofa bed, and the kitchen with a C–shaped layout.
The kitchen design offers maximum comfort and generous
light thanks to the large windows with portholes that open.
In the sleeping area, forward, is situated the owner’s suite,
while the two guest cabins, each with en suite bathroom, are
available either as two doubles or as one double and one twin.
The Itama 62RS is fitted with engines that guarantee a
performance consistent with the history of its predecessors:
two MAN V12s with a power output of 1,400 hp each, enabling
it to travel at a cruising speed of 37 knots, with a top speed of
40 knots.
